In his new book, Shai Davidai hilariously attributes the popularity of SJP on campus to "its ability to exploit the psychological vulnerabilities of young college students." The truth is much less complicated: college students tend not to support genocide.
The brave amerikan DSA candidate looks somberly at the people her country is starving and says:
It’s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. To claim I declined to answer the question is categorically false. That is not journalism. It is misinformation.

It's sad to see @AbdulElSayed publicly throwing his own sister under the bus for her principled positions on Palestine.
Can he send one drop of oil to Cuba please
The historic re-election of Brazil's President Lula is a victory for BRICS, Palestine, the Brazilian working class, and the Global South.
It's also a blow to US imperialism, Israel, Brazilian oligarchs, and dollar hegemony.

Genocide is wrong because it is wrong, not because it is expensive for Americans. The longer we allow these disgusting talking points which center US comfort rather than the lives of those enduring atrocities, the longer we will find support for these atrocities

most obvious contradiction of DSA politics ever is needing poor non-white people for votes but is inherently about streamlining the process of accumulation for yuppies
DSA is a right wing party until yuppies abandon private property for good

Working on a data project and thought I'd put this map together to show just how fast the colonization of the West Bank is happening: Since Jan 2025, Israel has signed orders for 115 of the 191 settlements. In the ten years before, 39.

Basically agree with Kervick. Youth being disaffected with US society is an opportunity to accelerate Imperial collapse, rather than the proposed reform here which could at best be considered a weaning off of Imperial power (seriously... at best), at worst you help renew it.

To state the obvious:
1. No compulsory service program run by the US government can be force for liberation.
2.The alienation of youth from imperial capitalist society is a GOOD thing. It will lead to movements for revolutionary change.
One of the most radical institutions in America, abandoned since the Vietnam War, is exclusively deployed in service to imperialism: universal conscription. But what if we turned that same model inward towards the tasks of liberation? Drawing on his experience as a college professor and West Point graduate, Cyrus Cappo argues for a mandatory National Public Service Corps—a radical project to rebuild infrastructure, integrate alienated youth, and hand real leverage back to the working class.
