You can install openpilot on a 2019 corolla, an 8 year old car, and it will stop at stoplights for you.
If @comma_ai didn't exist, old cars would almost certainly never get capability like this. And most people would claim a project like openpilot could never exist.
Many cool things only exist because a few people decided it should. You can just do things, and more people should!
Want to route beautiful boards like this and run them on our lines? comma.ai/jobs

first pass with openpilot.distill. comma’s big policy teaching a tiny student on comma1M. still pretty dumb. going to let it loose in simulation for a while and see what happens.
Think you can do better?
We'll keep updating the leaderboard with good submissions. Let's get below 10k!

Our GPUs have outgrown our little San Diego office. In 2027 we're starting up a bigger better datacenter with more GPUs. We are hiring engineers to work on this.
If you know linux and like sshing into machines that cost more than a Ferrari, you might be a good fit.
We're hiring software engineers (and interns) for our product team.
We put up two new $500 bounties as hiring challenges:

Put up a PR that we can just hit merge on, and the job is yours.
How many FLOPs does your Corolla have?
It's been really cool driving with a video card in the passengers seat @comma_ai outdid themselves.
Data and power cable got taken by the car as toys and havent been able to finald a replacement that works. Wonder if I can purchase them separately?
The pursuit of open source does not need justification.

I don’t know man… seems like an overkill. There are enough open source projects you could leverage and/or improve to bring it to production quality without reinventing the wheel.
I’d use self-hosted models on tiny + a few grad interns with occasional mentorship.
We can buy IP blocks… or we can build them.
Who wants to build high quality, MIT-licensed IP blocks for the world? Interns welcome too.

How much is the cost of IP from a vendor at your scale?
Some will give corresponding vhdl code on reference fpgas
Maybe it’s Easier & probably cheaper than building it from scratch.
Email [email protected] if interested.
No experience necessary, just excellent programming skills and a desire to build the highest quality blocks out there.
