Driving past the local SSPX so I can go pray with pagans at Assisi like a good Catholic.

I don't know what's worse: the Mother of God in B tier or everyone getting a Marvel movie logo.

The reality of the Church is terrifying. Whatever your position regarding their legitimacy, you can't deny what the Vatican II popes have done: destroy the faith and make Roman Catholicism irrelevant in the public square.
I plan to get around to answering Heloise’s apostasy thread point by point, but for now I’ll just say this isn’t surprising: Obstinate transgenderism aside, he has been blown hither and thither by the wind, changing his core convictions several times within an incredibly short time frame (Deist, Protestant, Catholic, maybe something else, and now this). He does not know *fundamentally* why he believes what he believes; he has no principles. This isn’t normal. Given precedence, he will probably change his mind again.
This isn’t a personal attack; I have no hard feelings. I will pray for Heloise. But I am wishing to make a point that each one of us needs to know why we ultimately believe what we believe: Every worldview will have objections to it, and you need to know what’s at the *root* of truth, notwithstanding your potential perceptions every now and then of “strange fruits” on the tree.
“I’m struggling with my faith.”
This isn’t directed at anyone in specific, but most of the time to fix this, you need to get off your ass, stop doomscrolling 13 hours a day, receive the sacraments, actually do something relevant to your faith, and stop treating it like it’s an Internet hobby,
If you have trained yourself to treat your faith like some cool idea that gets shelved until it’s dusted off to be argued about on social media, you will lose it. Your faith is a gift from God; it’s not fun and games. By his grace, you need to protect it and nourish it. If you are consumed by lust and laziness and sloth and gluttony etc. and your faith just sits there stagnant, you do not stand a chance: Your “Catholic arc” is coming to an end.

Two days before the conclave, we wrote this:
"Prevost is not a coward or a tactician, but a loyal son of Francis, and he will continue the work of his master and benefactor, if he is elected – even if he does so in a more discreet and moderate way."

The gathering of all religions at Assisi:
Our Lady of Fatima, Queen of Peace, is thrown out!
While bonzes and Tibetan lamas were worshipping their solid-gold Buddha placed on the tabernacle of the high altar of the church of St Peter at Assisi, with their backs turned to the Blessed Sacrament, which had been left in a side chapel, Our Lady of Fatima, carried by the arms of men all the way from Calabria, was turned away, expelled from the sanctuaries, and forcibly abandoned outside, facing St Peter’s, which had been handed over to the idolaters.
“The devil has engaged in the decisive battle, that is to say, the final one, from which one of the two will emerge victor or vanquished: either we are with God, or we are with the devil.”

Fighting THIS is why the Feast of Christ the King was established
Leo XIV’s recent comments in France show exactly why the feast of Christ the King is necessary. But did Popes Leo XIII and Pius XII say the same thing as him?
