If you only feel valuable when you’re crushing it or crushing someone else you’ll be crushed when you’re not crushing it.
I’m so glad I finished systematic theology before my three kids could talk. Their questions are wild! 🤣

Who Gets the Green Light? 5 Shooting Drills to Help Coaches Decide
Want to build better shooters and hold players accountable?
These 5 Green Light Shooting Drills will help you identify who truly deserves to shoot in games. Popularized by former Arkansas women’s coach Mike Neighbors, "Green Light" shooting allows players to EARN the right to shoot specific types of shots in games based on their performance in objective shooting drills.
Players who earn the green light get to shoot more during games.
Players who don’t have more limitations on the shots they can take. You then reassess players on a weekly basis to give players a chance to earn their “green light.” The result? A culture of accountability, motivation, and much better shot selection.
In this video, we walk through 5 game-tested drills that coaches can use to implement a Green Light Shooting System — a competitive, objective method for determining who earns the right to shoot.
These drills come from some of the top high school & college coaches around the country and have been used successfully with thousands of players.
Each drill is easily adapted based on your players age and experience level.
You'll learn:
-How to structure each drill
-Standards you can use to determine the "green light"
-Why this system motivates players to improve
-How to track results and build confidence
These drills are perfect for youth, high school, or even college coaches who want to build a team of shot-makers — not shot-takers.
There’s a huge need in our present moment to learn to think for ourselves and to think critically (with the word of God). Following the crowds or being trendy is easy and automatic—but often not good.
“Christ takes it for granted that men are bad. Until we really feel this assumption of His to be true, though we are part of the world He came to save, we are not part of the audience to whom His words are addressed.” -CS Lewis (in the Problem of Pain)
“An ounce of sin can harm us more than a ton of suffering. Sin can harden our hearts so we lose everything, but suffering, if handled rightly, can make us wiser, happier, and deeper.” -Tim Keller

7 Best Youth Basketball Dribbling Drills
Written by Coach Jeff Huber @HuberBasketball
These 7 drills teach you how to train your players to:
-Manipulate the ball with one hand to create space
-Use 3 different change of direction moves quickly and effectively
-Bust out of traffic with an effective speed dribble that maximizes how fast you get down the floor
-Handle 2 balls while reacting to a stimuli (similar to a defender) that determines how you will dribble
-Dribble 2 balls with force to cover ground quickly and to be able to be strong in traffic
-Use the moves and tactics learned in the unopposed drills to beat a defender in a 1v1 situation
-How to use their non-dominant hand to handle the ball against full court pressure
Beyond the setup of the drills, you’ll see the master teaching that is necessary to teach elite dribbling. You’ll hear numerous coaching tips that make the difference in players retaining what they are being taught.
No coach has ever had too many good ball handlers. At the youth level, most teams are lucky to have 1 good dribbler. By implementing these drills, that won’t be the case for your team.
Instead, you’ll end up with players who can confidently handle the rock to navigate any situation they encounter!
