🧵 (1/3) Excited to finally share our creatine pilot trial in AD results! We found that 20 g/day creatine monohydrate for 8 weeks was safe and feasible in people with AD. Compliance was excellent, and serum creatine significantly increased.

For the 1,344,899 time 🫨lean body mass is NOT muscle mass.
Almost half the studies on creatine do NOT show an increase in lean body mass as it encompasses about 7 variables.
Context is 🔑.
That is why meta-analyses are so important 🤓 #creatine

A must listen on #creatine with @GlennMcConell1 and @darrencandow
Knowing these two, I expect a thorough and fair discussion in mechanisms, what’s proven, and what’s not proven.
We had a great chat which I enjoyed a lot
He is on top of the literature on not just creatine but everything that came up. A wealth of knowledge.
We discussed creatine and resistance training, sarcopenia, cognition, bone, sex differences etc
Online this weekend @darrencandow

If you like the convenience of gummies then the product on the left may be for you.
Personally, stick to the powder on the right.
2 reasons 👉
Ignore price.
Is there any evidence/proof that each 1.5g @trycreate_co gummy has 1.5g creatine? Once Creatine is no longer a powder it starts to convert to creatinine. Powdered is shelf stable for longer than it will take you to finish the bag.
Here’s an intro video for your new paper @AnsmithRD Great paper! I look forward to your study.
Excited to share this pre-print. We look forward to sharing the results of our pilot trial also. Stay tuned.

🚨Creatine combined with carbohydrate boosts 🚀the amount of creatine in muscles💪 by as much as 60% compared to creatine alone! 🤯
🔦I educate and coach our clients and athletes to consume ➕carbs ➕protein ➕3-5 creatine + fluid POST-workout🏋️♂️ or on a rest day for maximum 📈absorption.

☑️Yes, creatine is safe for kids *at any age both girls and boys
☑️Yes, you should use creatine every single day
☑️Yes, creatine is beneficial for endurance athletes
❌No, creatine is not a steroid or harmful to your liver or kidneys
❌No, creatine will not make you big or bulky as a female (creatine would help you lose fat and gain muscle if anything)
❌No, creatine does not dehydrate you and in fact if you read the science it does the opposite!
Creatine helps draw water into the cell preventing cramping. It is the lack of water and minerals that folks fail to consume when training in heat or flat out not drinking enough H20 in daily life that leads to cramping and dehydration.
❌Creatine does not cause hair loss or other wild and outlandish claims that lack science.
