Currently designing a product around accountability. It’s fascinating how easy it is to make a promise to yourself than it is to keep one.
The more I work on it, the more I’m convinced that progress isn’t usually a motivation problem, it’s a visibility problem. People are more likely to follow through when someone else is paying attention.

One thing about me I’m not ashamed to admit I’m wrong. The whole concept of folding is very silly to me when I realise I’m wrong

The idea of starting to talk to someone and immediately billing them is so weird to me. Not one person I’ve had a talking stage or situationship with, whether short-term or long-term can ever say I asked them for money.
If you give me, great. But for me to start talking to you today and ask you to sort out a financial need, big or small, two weeks or two months into our relationship? Never. Even if I’m dying, i will not ask.

I will Forever show favoritism to people who are genuinely kind to me, and I’ll make it obvious because I don’t care. They deserve it. 🤷♀️

Academic brilliance will never be a measure of intelligence.
You can be academically brilliant and still lack common sense. Being educated is one thing, being intelligent is another.

“I no longer use figma or adobe” can never be a flex to me.
Where’s the craftsmanship? Where’s the passion? I understand the need to get things done faster but I feel like we’re gradually losing the human touch that makes design special.
At some point, you have to ask yourself: why did you choose this career path as a brand/graphic designer in the first place?
I’ve spent over $1k on AI credits this year alone. I actively use AI, experiment with new tools, and keep up with the latest trends in our industry. So this isn’t coming from someone who’s against AI.
But I can tell you one thing: I still feel alive pushing those rectangles around, one pixel at a time whether in figma, adobe, or whatever creative tool gets me there.
There’s a certain joy I feel in actually making things and obsessing over the little details, while putting a piece of myself into my work.
Efficiency is great, but I never want to lose the feeling of being a designer.
