The EU is calling on international partners to join the EU-led “No Fees/No Tolls” pledge to reject coercive, unilateral actions and oppose unlawful fees, tolls and restrictions that hamper lawful navigation.
International straits are global lifelines, keeping trade, energy supplies and essential goods moving around the world.
Freedom of navigation is a shared global interest.

Hundreds of vessels have become part of an illegal maritime ecosystem, called Russian Shadow Fleet, designed to reduce the impact of sanctions on Russian energy exports.
By using aging tankers and opaque ownership structures, Moscow is sustaining oil exports while increasing environmental and security risks.
