A year ago, I said Mississippi and Louisiana could be competitive with real investment. Turns out, I was right. Now the country is talking about @scott_colom in Mississippi, while @jamieforlouisiana came within 25,000 votes in Louisiana. I made the case directly to DNC Chair Ken Martin in April, after raising the same concerns on @joyannreid. The Deep South doesn’t lack voters. It lacks investment.
