This outcome is appealed today by Porton Down:
‘..after he won a two-year legal battle with DTSL, Wilkins still appears slightly bemused... “It’s a scientific organisation,” he said, “so it shouldn’t be unacceptable to use the phrase biological sex’

We are reporting today from the Employment Appeal Tribunal of Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (or DSTL) v Wilkins. DSTL is appealing.
Dr Peter Wilkins, a civil servant, won an employment tribunal case in March 2025 for constructive dismissal, harassment and direct discrimination based on his protected gender-critical beliefs.

I have submitted a question to ask the Scottish Government to provide evidence that a school bag will close the attainment gap.
Character bags can cost between £11-£15
Branded rucksacks between £15-£20
Why are they squandering taxpayers money?!

Disappointed to hear from multiple sources that an anti-RRRUK group has been emailing parkrun RDs nationwide to try to get their support. The @RRRunnersUK campaign always tries to stay respectful of volunteers and not actively drag them into the debate. Because we #loveparkrun.

Astonished yesterday that the SNP is pressing on with expensive free school bags. Maybe they should look at waiting times for Speech and Language therapy instead. 2 years in @JohnSwinney ‘s constituency. Much greater impact for children’s attainment.
“At almost £30 per child, ministers must explain whether this scheme represents the best value for taxpayers and assure teachers and parents that money could not be better spent elsewhere in our education system.
“This adds up to £750 for a class of 25 pupils — money that could otherwise help fund much needed additional resources and support for children in the classroom”

We were a group of women (not affiliated to any organisation) standing in the rain to show support for a woman who has been repeatedly raped.
We didn't consider that this was "for nothing". The fact that you do says nothing about us but everything about you, Fred.
Replying to @GrumpyOW
When are these people who stand in the rain going to realise that there will be no support for them from the organisations they donate to. Sex Matters and WRN rake in millions while these poor clowns stand in the rain getting wet for nothing
The timing screams interference in Israel's election.
Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.

🔊To those asking, “How can we help Afghan women?”
First, share their voices. In a time when even speaking puts women at risk, being heard means hope, visibility, and survival.
Second, support our online education program. Despite fear and restrictions, Afghan girls are secretly continuing their studies. You can help by sponsoring internet access so students can attend online classes, or by volunteering as a teacher and sharing your knowledge with girls who have been denied education.
Third, support food aid for widows and women living alone who have no male provider in the household and are often too afraid to go outside.
