While discussing my litigation, Gavin Millar KC apparently said to Mark Lewis of Patron Law "Corbynite as well, another reason to bring him down". I am the "him". Mr Millar apparently also said I was a "Corbynista obsessed with Palestinian issue". I am an ordinary man who lives in an ordinary house in an ordinary area of Huddersfield. I have a partner, three kids and a job. I have no wealth, status or power in our society. I was a Corbynite because I believe in crazy stuff such as ending child poverty. This would, of course, require people like Millar to pay more tax. While I am - in common with most of humanity - opposed to Israel's ethnic cleansing and genocide, I am not obsessed with Palestine and my litigation had nothing to do with Palestine. It seems that Millar - one of His Majesty's counsel and someone with wealth, status and power - thought the litigation was a chance to "bring me down". This would, of course, have had awful consequences for my partner and children. Ho-hum. Perhaps I am naïve for thinking that litigation ought not to be used like this. Two things irk me. First, it seems Millar lacks the common decency to get in touch with me to explain what he said and, if necessary, to apologise. Am I - for Millar - so unworthy of respect that an apology is beyond his contemplation? Second, Millar and Lewis - two high-profile lawyers - apparently discussed using their clients' High Court litigation to "bring down" an ordinary member of the public because they disagreed with his political views. How is it that this is of such trivial significance that none of our fearless, independent, public-interest media sees fit to report it? @MatrixChambers

Fact check: Labour are arming a genocide. Andy Burnham and Ed Miliband offer apologies over Gaza - but continue to arm a genocide. Labour call those who oppose the genocide - even those of us who are Jewish - antisemitic. More and more people see through this absolute charade.

Just a reflection on the sheer hate meted out to Telegraph staffers that have been fired; It took me years outside newspapers to realise I had been a hired gun in an anger factory. I was very good at it. Owners make millions off anger but it does not help us as individuals - and it did not mean I had to do it forever.

They discovered that frightening westerners about Muslims made them like Israel more In 2025, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs commissioned an American marketing company to find out how to make people in Europe and the United States feel better about Israel. The company was Stagwell Global, headed by Mark Penn. A man who had advised Bill Clinton and helped Menachem Begin win the Israeli elections in 1981. They conducted surveys, organised focus groups and tested different messages on Western audiences. In September 2025, the research leaked. One of the problems they discovered was that many Europeans had come to regard Israel as a genocidal, apartheid state. Even people who disliked Hamas and Iran were using those descriptions. Quite a public relations problem. So what would make people more sympathetic to Israel? The researchers tested different approaches. Some emphasised women's rights. Others LGBTQ rights. Others portrayed Hamas as determined to destroy Jews and spread jihadism. And they found something particularly effective. Fear of radical Islam. One finding in the leaked recommendations was that the notion of radical jihadism was universally effective. Another message, portraying 'Free Palestine' as a slogan of terrorism rather than freedom, performed particularly well with American conservatives. When researchers combined these themes with messages about Israeli values, support for Israel improved by more than 20 points on average in each of the five countries examined. What was being measured here? Not whether Palestinians were being treated humanely. Not whether the bombing of Gaza was justified. Not whether the settlements were legal. Which messages made foreigners more sympathetic to Israel. On October 29, 2026, researchers Marc Owen Jones and Sohan Dsouza published the results of a three-year investigation into an enormous covert advertising campaign. They documented 533 million exposures to anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant and anti-Qatar propaganda across 30 countries. The advertisements portrayed Qatar as secretly engineering Muslim migration into Europe. Muslims were presented as an invading population. The material borrowed from the far-right 'Great Replacement' conspiracy theory. The researchers traced technical evidence, including Hebrew-language computer file paths and an Israeli IP address, pointing to production in Israel. They concluded with moderate to high confidence that the operation originated there. They could not establish who ultimately financed it. These are separate investigations. There is no demonstrated connection between Stagwell's research and the people who organised this advertising operation. But consider the overlap. One investigation documents an Israeli government-commissioned study identifying fear of radical Islam as a particularly effective way to improve Israel's reputation. The other documents an enormous, apparently Israeli-origin campaign flooding Western audiences with frightening stories about Muslims. An ordinary human being becomes a convenient object of fear. A commercial opportunity. A tested message. An advertising impression. And somewhere, behind a computer screen, someone measures whether the fear is working.

I want to express my unequivocal support for Byline Times, particularly @NafeezAhmed, whose reporting on the Jason Arday controversy has provided something conspicuously absent from much of the British press: a serious examination of the people making the allegations, the evidence underpinning them, and the extraordinary ideological machinery surrounding the entire spectacle. And thank fuck somebody is doing it. For weeks, we were treated to an apparently inexhaustible procession of accusations, insinuations, biographical dissections and self-appointed custodians of academic integrity, all enthusiastically picking apart the life of a relatively obscure Black professor. Yet when Liverpool John Moores declined to uphold plagiarism allegations, and academic publishers investigated concerns without establishing plagiarism or fabrication, the findings somehow proved insufficient to satisfy the assembled inquisitors. Byline Times actually examined those findings. It investigated the networks and ideological interests helping propel the controversy. It questioned the framing of the allegations and the extraordinary disparity between the attention given to accusations and the attention given to subsequent institutional conclusions. And, magnificently, this has apparently become grounds for accusing Byline itself of dishonesty. What a fucking extraordinary state of affairs. A considerable section of British journalism appears to have mistaken its ability to destroy reputations for proof of its own intellectual and moral superiority. Meanwhile, when another publication examines the conduct of journalists, their sources, their assumptions and the political interests surrounding their reporting, suddenly everyone develops an exquisite sensitivity about journalistic standards. The press demands accountability from every institution in the country while frequently behaving as though accountability is something that happens exclusively to other people. Let me be perfectly clear. Academic fraud deserves investigation. So does journalistic misconduct. So does institutional incompetence. And so does the possibility that perfectly legitimate questions about an individual's scholarship have become ammunition in a much broader ideological campaign against equality and minority achievement. These are not mutually exclusive propositions, for fuck's sake. Jason Arday was entitled to scrutiny. So were the people scrutinising him. And that is precisely why independent journalism matters. Byline Times does not need to be infallible to deserve defending. Its reporting should be challenged wherever the evidence warrants it, just as everybody else's should. But I am profoundly grateful that, amid this grotesque orgy of professional self-congratulation, somebody had the bloody decency to investigate the investigators. Because when the great and good of British journalism gather to congratulate themselves on holding power to account, somebody ought to ask who the fuck is holding them to account. Long may Byline Times continue doing precisely that.
You think Arday's errors were a systematic, conscious attempt to steal other people's work? Well, every independent academic inquiry disagrees with you. (And the 200 other articles your colleagues produced this summer)

NHS SPENT MILLIONS SILENCING SIX DOCTORS. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS RIGHT Private Eye @PrivateEyeNews called them the Super Sextet. Six doctors and executives who saw dangerous things happening in NHS hospitals, raised the alarm, and were systematically destroyed for it. Not one of them was wrong. Every single concern turned out to be valid. Dr Kim Holt @drkimholt warned Great Ormond Street Hospital that the child protection clinic in Haringey was dangerously understaffed and missing patient records. Management put her on special leave for four years. Baby Peter Connelly died. The trust spent £286,000 on consultants to investigate itself and found no management failings. Then it offered Holt £120,000 to sign a super-gag and disappear. She refused. Steve Bolsin, cardiac anaesthetist at Bristol Royal Infirmary, spent six years documenting that children were dying at an entirely avoidable rate during heart surgery. He raised it internally. He raised it with the Department of Health. He was told to keep his head down. Between 30 and 35 children died unnecessarily. Bolsin was described at a European surgeons conference as the most hated anaesthetist in Europe. He left the UK in 1995 and never came back. Ash Pawade turned around a catastrophic children's heart surgery unit in Bristol. When a baby died after an overworked perfusionist made a drug error caused by NHS staffing cuts, Pawade backed his colleague and called management to account. He was ordered to apologise for impugning the trust's legal team. He left the NHS without any recognition. Dr Raj Mattu, a world-renowned cardiologist in Coventry, watched a patient die because five beds had been crammed into a ward designed for four, leaving three beds with no access to oxygen or suction. He reported it. A senior manager responded by saying he wanted Mattu off the road completely. Mattu was suspended for six years, then sacked. The trust spent over £14 million of public money trying to discredit him. He was eventually awarded £1.22 million. The CEO who oversaw the campaign against him was given a CBE. Gary Walker was brought in to turn around United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust after seven CEOs in six years. He balanced the books and hit the targets. When a winter surge led clinicians to warn that patient lives were at risk, Walker wrote to his Strategic Health Authority. The SHA's chief executive emailed back: you need to meet targets whatever the demand. Walker was sacked in 2010 for gross misconduct. The gross misconduct was using the f-word nine times in three meetings over two years, not directed at anyone in particular. Dr Peter Wilmshurst, consultant cardiologist at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, spent 30 years reporting research fraud, confronting pharmaceutical companies, and taking on anyone who put profit above patient safety. He was sued for libel three times by a US medical device company after accurately reporting that their product did not work. The legal battle nearly cost him his home. The same playbook runs across all of them: suspend the whistleblower, bury them in vexatious complaints, pay management consultants to clear management, offer a gag clause, and wait for the person to break. @NHS spent millions silencing these six people. Not one manager faced meaningful consequences for any of it. Source: Shoot the Messenger, @PrivateEyeNews Special Report by Dr Phil Hammond @drphilhammond and Andrew Bousfield

This is the statement issued by the Met Police about the Defend Our Juries demonstration today. Commander Adam Slonecki, from Scotland Yard, said: “All those intending on coming to this event know that supporting a proscribed organisation is unlawful – they are essentially meeting to purposefully commit a crime.” This is a remarkable contrual of the law and extent of police powers. Surely it cannot be right that someone protesting against the Government’s decision to proscribe an organisation is automatically interpreted by the Met Police as supporting that organisation and is therefore committing an arrest-able offence. This is especially the case when the proscription is being challenged in the courts. I believe the government and parliament made the wrong decision in proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation and I continue to call for its deproscription by the government. If the people turning up today to demonstrate against the proscription of Palestine Action are to be arrested for simply turning up, are we all to be criminalised for suggesting the government got this wrong?

UN special rapporteur @FranceskAlbs has some interesting things to say about the BBC, and her new report - Truth under the Rubble - about western media coverage of Gaza, is a must-read. documents.un.org/doc/undoc/g…
Watch the full interview here: youtu.be/w0G4LO3_dfE?si=PJTZ… Francesca Albanese spoke to Declassified about her new report Truth Under the Rubble, which looks - in part - at how the Western media covered Israel's genocide in Gaza. Albanese singled out the BBC as one of the worst offenders in terms of propagating Israeli narratives, and not allowing Palestinian guests to talk about the suffering of their people.

Paula Yates was her name. She was a presenter and writer, not just a mum. For daring to leave (unfaithful) partner Bob Geldof, she was victimised, harassed & mocked by the British press, including disgusting bullying by Ian Hislop & ‘the lads’ on Have I Got News For You.
this vid was 2006 when russell brand was 'dating' teenage peaches geldof, around the time noel fielding was 'dating' her teen sister pixie some yrs later, soon after peaches died of an overdose (the same thing that killed fifi, peaches, pixie, and tiger lily's mom) this happened

Yep. This is a real headline. The Spectator is glorifying wine from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, and presenting Britain’s planned import ban as a tragedy for wine drinkers. It packages the trip as “a visit to a winery at the heart of the West Bank”. The winery’s owner explicitly says the purpose is to establish “where the borders will cross”. Palestinian dispossession, served up as a lifestyle feature. A seriously depraved magazine.

This story is wild. He broke up with his girlfriend. He was mad so he raped a child on the same day. Then, the same girlfriend married him while he was out on bail for child molestation. And he’s not serving any jail time. Unreal.
A Latter-day Saint missionary who tearfully admitted to sexually assaulting a teenage girl because he felt 'miserable and sad' after splitting from his now-wife has been spared from serving any time behind bars trib.al/fHdFY8N 🔗
