Which Alaska is not required to do.
In fact, the DoJ has no legal authority to even inspect State ballots without a state decision.

It doesn’t get much more corrupt and stupid than this.
Oil billionaire Jeffery Hildebrand owns one of the largest methane-polluting oil and gas companies in America. He and his wife gave more than $15 MILLION to Trump and Republicans.
Trump then nominated his wife to be an ambassador and installed a former lobbyist for Hildebrand’s company in charge of rewriting methane regulations at the EPA.
Now they’re getting rid of the program requiring oil and gas companies to investigate and fix some of their worst methane leaks.
Beyond the insane corruption, it’s just STUPID beyond belief.
If an oil company is leaking natural gas into the atmosphere, wasting energy and accelerating climate change, FIX THE DAMN LEAK.
Why on earth would we make it easier for companies to waste perfectly usable energy while Americans are struggling to pay their energy bills?
The only ones that stand to benefit are the companies operating old, leak-prone wells like Hilcorp. Those wells only produce 6% of our oil and gas but they release HALF of the industry's methane emissions.
So let me get this straight.
Your energy bills are through the roof. This won't meaningfully bring them down. We’re making it easier for oil companies to waste energy and pump more pollution into our atmosphere.
And one of the biggest beneficiaries is a billionaire Trump donor whose former lobbyist helped write the rollback in the first place.
I mean, COME ON.

Just spoke with the son of one of my neighbors in Orlando. The guy is in his late 30’s. He’s a lifelong Republican who voted for Trump three times, but he told me he’s not voting Republican this time.
Asked him why. His reply: “They all lie, and they’re corrupt as fuck.”

Trump loves the military so much that he shut down a VA mortgage rescue program, forcing 10,000 veterans into foreclosure and putting 90,000 more at risk.

A stranger found the oil leak. The pipeline company didn't. Nine days after the feds warned the company, its billionaire chairman found $50,000 for a Senate race.
Who got it, which nobody else has reported:

You can’t have it both ways, Dan.
You’ve now voted 14 times for the war in Iran that’s sending gas prices sky high.
Alaskans need a senator who will vote to end this war and actually fight to lower costs.

Trump's Alaska lawsuit will likely prove unsuccessful.
But it could still establish a record of voter confusion allegations in an effort to prevent the winner of the state’s U.S. Senate race from being certified.

A federal judge is opening an investigation into whether Justice Department lawyers misled the court about plans to renovate a historic golf course in Washington, D.C.
During a hearing Friday, Judge Ana Reyes said she would appoint a "special master" to look into whether officials misrepresented or withheld information regarding renovation work on the course.
Government lawyers have said no final plan is in place, but President Donald Trump said the course will be shut next month for a 15-month renovation.

It says it intends to appeal, calling the voters’ request a “fishing expedition.”
