As @Sneako’s attorney, I can confirm that the image circulating of him allegedly kissing another man is fabricated and digitally manipulated. It is not authentic.
We have identified the original Kick livestream showing @Sneako and @Yeoakx walking and talking. No kissing occurred. We have also identified the individual responsible for obtaining the original screenshot and having it manipulated to falsely depict a kiss.
Significantly, the initial fabricated image retained the Kick livestream logo, making it possible to trace the image to its original source and verify the fabrication. Your version conspicuously removes that logo, obscuring a critical means of independently verifying the truth. This raises serious questions about the care exercised before publishing this material.
This is not legitimate journalism. It is the dissemination of fabricated imagery presented as fact, with the potential to cause serious reputational harm.
The First Amendment provides substantial protection for journalism, including reporting allegations about public figures. However, it does not provide blanket immunity for publishing defamatory falsehoods with knowledge of their falsity or reckless disregard for the truth.
You are hereby placed on express notice that this image is fabricated. Any continued publication, republication, or amplification of the image as authentic, particularly after receiving evidence establishing its falsity, may expose you to legal liability. Our client expressly reserves all rights and remedies.
We demand that you remove the fabricated image, publicly correct the record, and refrain from further presenting this manipulated content as authentic.
In an era when AI-generated fabrications can be created and circulated within minutes, journalists and commentators have a responsibility to exercise reasonable care before spreading material capable of destroying reputations.
Fabricated images are not evidence. Repeating a lie does not make it true. And freedom of the press does not eliminate accountability for actionable defamation.
Alhamdulilah within minutes of putting @AkademiksTV on notice for posting a terrible deep fake photo of my client @sneako misrepresenting him they did the right thing and deleted the post.
I hope they continue to do the right thing and stop the campaign of defamation and misrepresentation of my client.
This alone proves that the content they are using to back their false claims are manufactured.
We cannot accept a world where everyone uses deep fake ai to paint those they disagree with in a false light! In such a world it will be impossible to distinguish truth from falsehood.
