Children living through genocide need moments when fear gives way to laughter, when they can play together and feel cared for. On September 24, our The Sameer Project North team brought an initiative for children to Jisr Al-Khair Camp in West Jabalia,Al-Tawam. About 100 children enjoyed games, clowns, cake, and juice, at a total cost of just around $180 after 11% transfer fees. A key issue that Palestinians in Gaza tell us about are the old and moldy jerrycans. After three years into genocide, many families can’t afford buying new jerrycans! The Sameer Project buys them from the market and distributes them to underserved camps. There are so many ways to help and this is one of the critical ways to do so.
