🗓️ If Carlisle United win every single remaining game of 2026, we will go into the New Year one point better off than we did last season.
#cufc
⚽️⚽️⚽️ Carlisle United have recorded 3 consecutive away league wins for the first time since March 2022.

The Southend game for example. We played really well, but didn’t win. The performance didn’t matter. It’s all about the result.
Today we didn’t play well, but we won. The performance doesn’t matter. It’s all about the result.
It works both ways.

Our average attendance is quite a bit down on last seasons (so far).
This kind of pours cold water over this idea that fans are finding the football this season more entertaining than last.

In terms of players what do you think we need to push up the table?
We are 14th for a reason…
For me: we need an energetic, quick midfielder (it’s currently too one paced), a left sided centre back (unless one of the others can solve that) + a forward.
Obv need departures too
Good to be through to the next round and nice to win a home game.
What did you make of that today?

im enjoying this new front foot aggressive style #cufc 13 games in and we have scored 1 less goal, conceded 5 more, have 9 points fewer, 11 places lower and won half as many games as that rubbish boring stuff last year so ive no complaints, keep it up everyone.
This is where I’m at with Elliot.
I wanted him sacked after Woking. 100% thought he needed to go.
But they stuck with him, he’s going no where. He did get a positive reaction from players so fair enough. For now at least he’s staying & as a fan i will get behind him & hope🤞
So barring a dramatic nosedive in results in the coming weeks, stick for now, but if we get 18-20 games in and we’re still no where near the top 7, a change will be needed. Not even up for debate!
We simply can’t be wasting a season “consolidating in the National League”
7th is the absolute minimum. It pains me to say that after a 3rd place 95 point season. But the damage has been done, we are where we are, 14th in the National League, so 7th from this position I’d absolutely take.
Expectations have changed after the poor start.

I’m really glad he’s acknowledging how poor we’ve been at home.
Last week Rob Elliot said something along the lines of “apart from a 30 minute blip against Woking we’ve been excellent all season” which did worry me a bit if that’s the genuine view.
Home form needs to improve.
Trying to cling to positives here.
It’s 2 consecutive games where Desbois has had little if anything to do. And 1 goal conceded in 3 games.
Clutching at straws maybe after today’s awful performance and shows how bad this season has been.
But it’s something...
#cufc
Isn’t it typical the one time we keep a clean sheet at home happens to be the one time we fail to score at home! 🤦♂️
#cufc
That was poor.
Only positive I can take from that is the clean sheet and the fact we didn’t look troubled at the back.
But the drop off from last week is alarming and the overall home form is even more alarming.

Just another win today please @officialcufc
Got to keep this little revival going
#cufc
He deserves some more time after the results, response & attitude shown this week.
Last week was rock bottom (hopefully)
This week has been all we could have asked for given the circumstances.
We must build on it though. 14th is still a poor position, but there is progress.
💙
Gap to top 7 reduced to 4 points.
This is why wins are needed. You have to assume teams near the top will win, so we have to keep winning. Draws increase the gap, wins eat into it.
Hopefully another win next week to put us in touch.
UTB 💙
