A medical professional was brutally targeted, misidentified, slammed onto concrete, and held at gunpoint by Houston Police officers only to be released without a single word of apology.
They were looking for a suspect related to a car theft. They admitted they misidentified her.
She has since been treated at the hospital and is actively seeking legal representation and community assistance.
The physical and emotional trauma inflicted by this unwarranted brutality has deeply impacted both her and her family. No one should ever have to fear for their safety while commuting to serve others.

On October 30, 2026, at approximately 5 p.m., deputies responded to the area near Van Dyke Road to search for a veteran who had fled on foot after expressing thoughts of suicide.
Deputies located the man deep inside a wooded swamp, standing in the water.
They took the time to talk with him, reassure him he wasn't alone, and safely guided him back to get professional support.
