Noreen Niazi, 70, has been detained for more than a month under Pakistan’s public-order law. Today, she was transferred to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology after suffering heart issues.
Her nephew says the family learned about it through social media, rushed to the hospital, and found police blocking them from seeing her. The door to the ward is even guarded and chained shut!!
What is her condition? Why weren’t they informed? Why can’t they see her?
Keeping a family in the dark while their 70-year-old relative is hospitalized from detention is deeply disturbing.

کوٹ لکھپت جیل میں گزشتہ ایک ماہ کے دوران چار قیدیوں کی پُراسرار اموات کی اطلاعات کے پس منظر میں یہ خبر اہلِ خانہ کے لیے مزید اضطراب کا باعث ہے۔
اہلِ خانہ کے مطابق، وہاں نظربند عمران خان کی تینوں بہنوں، نورین نیازی، علیمہ خان اور ڈاکٹر عظمیٰ خان کو اب تک کسی فیملی ممبر یا وکیل سے نہیں ملوایا گیا۔ ظلم کی انتہا، اس حالت میں بھی نورین نیازی کو اسی جیل میں قید اپنے اکلوتے بیٹے، حسان خان نیازی، سے نہیں ملوایا گیا ، نہ ہی بیٹے کو ماں کی طبیعت بگڑنے اور ہسپتال منتقلی کی اطلاع دی گئی، نہ ان کی دونوں بیٹیوں کو آگاہ کیا گیا۔
اطلاعات ہیں کہ لاہور کی انتظامیہ اور پولیس کی بھاری نفری نے پی آئی سی کو گھیرے میں لے رکھا ہے۔ ایک گھریلو خاتون، وہ بھی بیمار حالت میں ،سے ایسا خوف کہ ہسپتال کے سینکڑوں کی تعداد میں ہسپتال اندر پہرے بٹھا دیے گئے ہیں! شنید ہے کہ ڈپٹی کمشنر لاہور بھی بنفسِ نفیس ہسپتال میں موجود ،کیا دل کے عارضے میں مبتلا نظربند خاتون کے فرار کا اندیشہ ہے؟

مگر ایک بیمار خاتون کے لیے اس قدر مستعدی، اتنے پہرے اور ایسا حصارکہ دودھ کی جلی ریاست۔
عمران خان کا سیاسی خوف ریاست کے اعصاب پر اس حد تک سوار ہے کہ اسکی بہن کی علالت بھی اہلِ خانہ کو اطلاع دینے اور ملاقات کرانے کے بجائے پہرے بڑھانے پر توجہ مرکوز کہ ریادت خوفزدہ ہے۔
کوٹ لکھپت جیل جس میں پچھلے چند ہفتوں دوران چار قیدیوں کی پُراسرار موت کی خبریں آ چکی ہوں، وہاں کسی عزیزہ کی بیماری کی اطلاع اہلِ خانہ میں سے کسی کو نہ دینا اور میڈیا کے ذریعہ معلوم ہونا ، گھر والوں پر کیا قیامت ڈھاتا ہے، اس کا اندازہ بالم نہیں کر سکتا؟ اقتدار کی لالچ اعر نشہ وقتی تسکین کے سامنےآئین ، اقدار، جان، رشتے اور بنیادی حقوق سب بے وقعت ہیں؟
اے سہل اقتدار! اپنا انجام دیوار پر لکھا دیکھو پڑھو۔ آج شاید دکھائی نہ دے تو بھی تاریخ کا حساب مٹ نہیں جاتا۔ اللہ مجھے اتنی زندگی دے کہ ظلم کرنے والوں کو اپنے کیے کا حساب دیتے اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھ سکوں۔ پہلوں کا ہم سب دن دھاڑے دیکھ چکا ہوں، ماضی میں بُرے انجام کو پہنچنے والوں کے نام نہیں لیتا کہ پھر بات ذاتیات تک جا پہنچے گی۔
جب مشرف کے خلاف نعرہ بلند ہوا، مکیا تیرا شو، تب جنرل مشرف کے تب وہم وگمان میں نہ ہو گا کہ 2008 اور وفات تک اُن پر کیا بیتنے وسلی تھی۔

Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Khan, is in the ICU, and the doors are being kept tightly locked with bolts and chains, as if this elderly woman poses a threat to them or is somehow going to escape from the hospital while fighting for her life.
Uzma Khan’s husband and Noreen Khan’s daughter are waiting outside the ICU ward, but they are not being allowed to see her.
What are they so afraid of? She is lying in the ICU. She is 71 years old. Why so much police presence? Why so much security and protocol? And, above all, why is she being denied the right to see her own family?

Today marks 30 days since my aunts, Dr Uzma Khan @DrUzma_KhanPK and Noreen Niazi @Noreen_KhanPK were taken from their homes and detained under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) law.
Their 30-day detention period has now reached its expiry, yet we have received no further order from the Lahore High Court, nor any official communication from the Punjab Home Department or jail authorities explaining the legal basis for their continued detention or confirming their release.
On what legal grounds are they still being held? Why have they not been released?
For an entire month, they have been denied access to their families and legal counsel. Their only crime is standing by their brother, Imran Khan @ImranKhanPTI and refusing to remain silent.
Thirty days of detention. No family access. No legal access. No justice.

For the past few hours, we have been receiving deeply concerning reports circulating on social media that my aunt, @Noreen_KhanPK Noreen Niazi, has been admitted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
Our family was never informed.
We are now standing outside her ward trying to establish her medical condition. The ward door has been chained shut, with police preventing us, her own family, from entering or seeing her.
We are extremely concerned for her health and wellbeing.
My aunt has already endured more than a month in detention, isolated from her family. Now, even in hospital, we are being denied access to her.
What is her medical condition? Why was her family not informed? On whose orders are we being prevented from seeing her?
We demand immediate access to my aunt, a full medical update from her treating doctors, and assurances that she is receiving all necessary medical care.

It is clear that they are trying to kill him as he is by far the most popular political figure in the country, and they fear him. If the worst happens, no one should make any mistake who is responsible. It is Asim Munir with the approval of the illegitimate Pakistani government. Every government that continues to legitimise this regime will be complicit in this and the resulting chaos and destabilisation it causes in the region. No state that is engaging in friendly relations with this fascist Pakistani regime can truly claim to uphold the values of democracy or human rights.

Hearing reports that Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Khan, has fallen ill in jail and was shifted to a hospital without even informing her family.
Her son, Hassan Niazi, is already in a military jail, and now his 71 year old mother is also being held in jail by the Punjab government without having committed any crime.
Alongside her, Imran Khan’s two other sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, are also in jail. All three have been behind bars for over a month. They have nothing to do with politics, their only crime is standing firmly by their brother like a rock, spreading his message to the world, and raising their voices for him.
It is truly shameful. Does the Punjab government have no sense of shame? Can they not see that these are elderly women? I hope PML-N won’t play the women card again.
All I will say is do whatever you want, but remember to go only as far as you can bear the consequences, not just in this world, but in the hereafter as well.

Remember, they are testing the public to see how far people are willing to go and what they are capable of doing for Imran Khan and PTI. They are deliberately taking one wrong step at a time, watching the public's reaction to see how much they can get away with and how far they can push things.
When they first arrested Imran Khan, millions of people came out onto the streets on their own. Under public pressure, he was eventually released.
Then they gradually began their crackdown, forced people to hold press conferences, and pressured them into leaving PTI. The public tolerated it, and eventually, these actions became normalized.
Then, on August 5, 2023, they arrested Imran Khan again. This time, no one came out onto the streets, and he has remained in jail ever since. Even that became normalized.
Then they took things further by placing him in complete isolation, stopping his meetings, jailing his sisters, and even targeting his cousin, who has nothing to do with politics. And once again, all of this became normalized.
Now, reports are emerging that Imran Khan is being physically tortured. For now, these reports may simply be a way to gauge the public's reaction. They want to see what it would take for people to finally stand up and how far the public is willing to go for Imran Khan and PTI.
The reality is that they are testing the public at every step. They are deliberately pushing boundaries, one step at a time, to see how much people are willing to tolerate. Every time we remain silent and accept another injustice against Imran Khan and PTI, they learn that they can go even further without facing resistance.
If we continue to tolerate every wrong step, there may eventually come a point where even the most extreme actions become normalized.

Mehmood Achakzai has reportedly stated that Imran Khan is being physically tortured, blackmailed, and threatened in jail because things have reached a point where these Pharaohs and Yazids can no longer tolerate the fact that Imran Khan is not breaking or bowing down before them.
So, if the allegations of physical torture are true, then Barrister Gohar, Mehmood Achakzai, Salman Akram Raja, and Allama Nasir are all responsible for this.
It's so painful that we are allowing this to happen. He's literally 74 years old. His sisters, wife, nephew, and cousin have already been put behind bars, and after mentally torturing him, are they now resorting to this?
There is no limit to this oppression. The level of cruelty being inflicted upon the oppressed in this era of Yazid is something I have never witnessed in Pakistan's history.
Even today, I have faith in Allah, and after Allah, in Imran Khan, because times never remain the same forever.
This nation will regret it forever if we fail to save him. Leaders like Imran Khan are not born again and again.
