49件中27件がSV*(PQ.16.1.1の亜系統)、17件がRK*(PQ.17.7.2の亜系統)、3件がSZ.3.1。

TM.1 (SV.1.2.2.1)はGISAID に新登場。

Death certificates undercount viral deaths. Flu kills people through heart attacks, strokes and secondary bacterial infections that never get coded as flu. So we used 30+ years of monthly all-cause deaths (1993-2025) for Ontario and asked how mortality moves when each virus circulates.

Nieuwe studie in The Lancet: Covid-19 is niet "zoals griep".

Well this is interesting After 2y we abandoned Covid precautions in the community Sent lots of Covid cases to Emergency Dept, And lots of Covid-assisted cases, Then stopped wearing masks in hospital, And our EDs have since become backed up beyond recognition I wonder if there is any connection Hmm 🤨 🧐 🤔

Three human H5N1 cases in Washington, and 1 death. Eventually, this is going to escalate. We’ve had 4 years to prepare since the first human case was reported in 2022, but sadly our elected officials don’t work for us. komonews.com/news/local/yaki…

We spent decades teaching people that cancer is mostly bad luck, bad genes, or bad habits. Then you find out 2.3 million cases in a single year were attributable to infections.

Two human cases of bird flu in Yakima County, including one patient hospitalized with severe illness, are concerning reminders that this threat continues even as attention fades. We need timely information on: 1️⃣ Genomic sequencing from both cases to assess relatedness and any concerning viral changes. 2️⃣ Detailed exposure histories, including any shared exposures or possible epidemiologic links. 3️⃣ Patients’ symptoms and clinical course. 4️⃣Treatments received and outcomes. Just because we want to ignore infectious diseases doesn’t mean they’ve gone away. The pathogens remain and continue to evolve which is why surveillance is critical. yakimacounty.us/DocumentCent…
