NEW: we need to talk about UK graduate wages, and the idea that Britain sends too many people to university.
American readers should stick around for the UK/US comparisons 👀
Let’s start with this: the UK graduate wage premium has fallen substantially over the last 25 years

this is such a direct, tangible example of reconciliation in practice that other Canadian universities could easily implement— here's hoping some of them do.
#UWaterloo is proud to announce that a full tuition waiver will be offered to all qualifying students from two First Nation communities on whose traditional territory the University is situated.

One of the darkest days for women’s rights in my lifetime. Obviously the immediate consequences will be suffered by women in the US - but this will embolden anti-abortion & anti-women forces in other countries too. Solidarity doesn’t feel enough right now - but it is necessary.

I have a job offer from a big pharma company. I love academic research, but the pay is not adequate for living in a place like Oxford. I am 30 and still having to live in a houseshare. This puts many of us in difficult situations. I hope @UniofOxford are thinking about this.

Why are we observing an unexpected rise in gastric cancers in the young population? Autoimmunity may be one explanation. Please check out my recent paper published @JAMAOnc
Seropositivity to anti-parietal cells is associated with the elevated future risk of gastric cancer. With waning prevalence of the primary cause H. pylori infection, autoimmune-driven carcinogenesis may explain the recent rise of gastric cancer incidence. ja.ma/3uYjcEC
