Why was David Raya robbed of the Yashin Trophy? I love it though, because I enjoy seeing Arsenal players being treated unfairly. Unai Simón won the Yashin Trophy based on his World Cup stats over David Raya’s Premier League stats. Lamine Yamal won the Best Young Player of the Year award because of his La Liga stats, while Harry Kane won the Ballon d’Or based on his Bundesliga stats over Mbappé’s La Liga and World Cup stats. I think people out there don’t rate the Premier League as highly as we thought. Raya was the favourite to win the Yashin Trophy, but Simón won the World Cup as Spain’s first-choice goalkeeper.
