🚨 THE COMMITTEE TO REVISE THE PENAL CODE? MORE LIKE THE COMMITTEE TO DISMANTLE IT. CALIFORNIA — SPEAK UP TOMORROW! California’s Committee on Revision of the Penal Code is considering a letter urging Governor Newsom to issue a BLANKET COMMUTATION OF EVERY DEATH SENTENCE IN CALIFORNIA. That’s 563 convicted murderers whose death sentences were imposed by juries and judges. Their justification? Homicide rates are down. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What on earth do today’s homicide rates have to do with the horrific murders committed by these killers? NOTHING. Tell that to the parents who buried their children. The families of murdered police officers. The loved ones of victims who were raped, tortured, kidnapped and slaughtered. Lower homicide rates don’t erase their crimes. They don’t erase the verdicts. And they certainly don’t erase the victims. This committee was created to revise California’s Penal Code — not dismantle justice, disregard juries and silence victims. 📢 TOMORROW, OCTOBER 27, AT 1 PM — MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD! The committee will discuss the proposed blanket commutation and take public comment. 📞 Call: 669-444-9171 Webinar ID: 818 7106 1684 Meeting agenda and Zoom link: clrc.ca.gov/CRPC/Meetings/Ag… California voters have repeatedly upheld the death penalty. Victims’ families deserve justice, not another bureaucratic assault on finality. SHARE THIS. CALL IN. SPEAK UP. VICTIMS’ VOICES MATTER. THEIR LIVES MATTERED.

This must be stopped immediately.
Stunning admission by California during yesterday’s Ninth Circuit hearing. California admitted they do nothing to check the citizenship status of voters and will count the illegal ballots of noncitizens who vote. This is why we’re seeking an emergency order. We cannot allow California to dilute legal votes in the upcoming election. Judge: You agree that if a non-citizen votes and we don’t stop it now, that vote will be counted, correct? California: That’s absolutely correct.

This week I asked Governor @GavinNewsom to reject a blanket commutation of CA's 563 death sentences. On Oct. 22 he issued 57 clemency grants and named zero victims. Rachel Newhouse. Aundria Crawford. Kesha Gurke. Justice is individualized. The government is We the People.

Rachel's and Aundria's killer, Rex Krebs, and Kesha's killer, Michael Whisenhunt, are twice-convicted felons. Our Constitution requires Supreme Court review before either sentence could be commuted. My full letter: slocounty.ca.gov/getmedia/7e…

Every death sentence required a first-degree murder conviction, a special circumstance found true beyond a reasonable doubt, and a jury that chose death. One signature cannot do justice to 563 cases.

Making San Luis Obispo County safer every day.
Voters' Prop 36 Delivers Accountability: Repeat Thief Sentenced to 9 Years in State Prison, With 2 More Years Pending, for Holiday-Season Car Break-In and Identity Theft Spree in North County. District Attorney @dandow Dan Dow thanks San Luis Obispo County voters, who approved Proposition 36 with 66 percent of the vote, and says the case shows the law is working. Lauren Pamela Johnston, 35, of Paso Robles, has been sentenced to 9 years in California state prison, with an additional 2 years stayed pending the outcome of an open felony case in Monterey County. She pleaded no contest to all 31 felony counts from a string of car break-ins and identity-theft crimes against North County residents during the 2025 Thanksgiving and Christmas season. District Attorney Dow said the case is clear, local evidence that Proposition 36 works. Fifteen of Johnston's 31 felony convictions were filed under Penal Code section 666.1, the felony for repeat thieves that California voters created when they approved Proposition 36 in November 2024. Without that law, every one of those 15 thefts could have been charged only as a misdemeanor. "I want to thank the voters of San Luis Obispo County and California," Dow said. "Two years ago, you said enough is enough. Our county approved Proposition 36 with 66 percent of the vote, and the state approved it with more than 68 percent. This sentence is the direct result of that vote. You gave prosecutors the tools to hold repeat thieves accountable, and in this case those tools protected your neighbors." The measure drew broad, bipartisan support from local leaders. Every mayor in San Luis Obispo County endorsed a YES vote, as did four of the five sitting members of the County Board of Supervisors: John Peschong, Heather Moreno, Dawn Ortiz-Legg, and Jimmy Paulding. They were joined by District Attorney Dan Dow, the California District Attorneys Association, Sheriff Ian Parkinson, the California State Sheriffs' Association, law enforcement organizations throughout the state, and members of California's business community, including local Chambers of Commerce. "For more than a decade, California's criminal and victim justice system was weakened by Realignment, Proposition 47, Proposition 57, and a series of so-called reforms. Repeat thieves learned that the consequences had disappeared," Dow said. "Retail theft, car break-ins, and identity theft spread across our state, and victims paid the price. Our mayors, our supervisors, law enforcement, business leaders, and most importantly the voters, stood together and changed that. Consequences change behavior. When repeat offenders know their theft history will follow them, fewer people will choose to steal. Swift, certain, and appropriate sanctions protect future victims." There are more Gazans alive today than there were before the October 7th attack. It’s a fakeocide, not a genocide.

OCTOBER 7, 2023: SHE KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO DIE. Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival. She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said: “I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.” Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life. She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said: “I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me. I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for. Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die. Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you. My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.” When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead. With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road. “Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down. While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire. It didn’t stop. It kept going, until the call was disconnected. And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body. Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people. Her memory will forever be a blessing. NEVER FORGET. NEVER FORGIVE. NEVER AGAIN IS NOW. Israel is hunting down every single Palestinian and Hamas terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre—to kill them all. They’re living on “borrowed time,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Sooner or later, every one of these monsters will be found and eliminated.

Thank you @SenFettermanPA !
On this 3rd anniversary of the 10/7 massacre, my commitment to our ally remains unchanged. Israel has my full support for what’s necessary to prevail and erase the last 2,000 Hamas cowards. The world cannot ever forget the horror of that day.

And how about the idea we ordered people not to sing in houses of worship? Insane and unconstitutional.
The idea that we closed beaches was insane in hindsight," Newsom said. Not only in hindsight, Jackass.

Part of the problem: we have for too long called the system the “criminal justice system”… we must change it to the “criminal AND victim justice system.” Until we do that, victims will be overlooked and sadly left at the sideline. We MUST change this narrative. Now is the time. Join me and throw away the old term and replace it with “criminal and victim justice system.” Let NO victim be forgotten or cast aside. Defendant’s rights to fairness and due process should NEVER erase the rights of victims and achieving true and just verdicts. -Dan Dow, San Luis Obispo County District Attorney @SLOCounty_DA
After the judge declared a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial on Friday, Plymouth District Attorney Tim Cruz emphasized that the case was about getting justice for the child victims — Cora, Dawson and Callan. "It is our job to make sure that the victims are not invisible, to make sure that they're not forgotten," Cruz said. With the trial over, he must now decide if he will retry Clancy and, if so, what charges she will face. cbsn.ws/4dj7XM4

Finally… thank you @USAttyEssayli
Arrests have begun for non-citizens registered to vote. Only U.S. citizens may vote in U.S. elections.

States like California do not screen voter registration applications for citizenship. Every non-citizen registered to vote dilutes a lawful citizen’s vote. We need to audit California’s dirty voter rolls.

Thank you!
🚨 Election Fraud Arrests Begin This morning we arrested and federally charged a Honduran national for unlawfully registering to vote in California and falsely claiming to be a U.S. citizen. Darwin Jonathan Rivera Flores, 30, of Winnetka, is charged with two felonies and faces deportation if convicted. Because states like California allow non-citizens to easily register to vote and receive a ballot by mail, there is no telling how many non-citizens are currently registered. It is time for California to comply with @AAGDhillon’s request for a comprehensive audit of its voter rolls to protect the integrity of our elections. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
