Software is becoming a cultural medium.
Danger Testing is a media company for this new era of software; we make content around software as a form of cultural expression, and the world that’s emerging around it.
For most of its history, software took a while to build. Now that software is free and fast, it can match the pace of culture.
Instead of software being a utility, it can be expressive, entertaining, and ephemeral.
We make songs, movies, and novels about breakups. Why not software? You can now tell your story the same way you would with an essay, video, or magazine, with software.
In the next ten years, the way we consume and distribute software will completely change. Danger Testing is chasing that.

.@itsjessyin explores apps as a powerful new medium. software as something that makes people feel.
"While traditional media scrambles to adapt to winning attention in denominations of a 2 second scroll through someone’s feed, software emerges as a time-agnostic format. A website doesn’t demand a viewer to stay on for either 5 seconds or an hour. Users are free to pass through or stay as long as they please. Its non-linear nature fills the awkward gap created by old vs. new media."
