ok fine, you want to know how i know none of you understood this? you keep saying "we all know this, you fucking moron. it's an RFQ model." oh, it's an RFQ model? RFQ stands for "request for quote" it does NOT imply that there is only one counterparty quoting. in fact, by default in most tradfi cases, there are many all it means is a customer asks for a quote, the middleware forwards that request to market makers, the market makers reply with a quote, and the customer picks the best one(s). the "middleware" here can be software or human brokers. in fact we used human rfq brokers all day long every day in options market making (where i learned to trade), since they had the largest orders. and guess what - it was malpractice (they have best execution duty) NOT to get quotes from multiple MMs in that scenario rfq absolutely has a use-case in markets, is appropriate and good, and variational seems to have built a highly profitable business around it but if you just parrot the "rfq model" line without understanding what that means, go back and read the docs. and then i would suggest reading about the risks related to a single party being counterparty to all trades on an entire platform. and then after that, if you still think it's a good idea to trade there, by all means
you guys do realize you are trading against a single counterparty on variational right nobody outside the variational bots can post quotes it's not really even a perp dex

TreeAI flagged a possible theft from Binance Hot Wallets, withdrawing billions in over 60 tokens to an address funded by Tornado Cash, 16 minutes ago. Details are still unclear. Tx: 0x53bd38b816c23e74134786c29a8c18d792777998a3b9326047b583100e88e2f3

.@CarOnPolymarket is the biggest POS alive TLDR: Polymarket's frontend gets compromised and $2.6M gets drained. Car claims he lost $800K, but if you look onchain, the funds were actually transferred to one of his alt wallets that he had interacted with before. He then posts on Twitter claiming he got drained, using the attention to: - Shill his referral link -Potentially claim another $800K if Polymarket refunds affected users I've genuinely never seen this level of narcissistic behavior.

Funny to see some people trying to tie Hyperliquid succes to the “dex” they shill 24/7 just because they have a few points on it

Growing up in the United States, NYSE was synonymous with the story of American capitalism. I vividly remember learning about the Buttonwood agreement in 9th grade history class. 24 stockbrokers met under a tree on Wall Street and formed the beginning of what would become the world's financial center. From pits to computers to now onchain markets, America has always led the way in innovating markets to improve price discovery and capital formation. Today the next chapter begins with ICE, trade[XYZ], and Hyperliquid. ICE started as an electricity-trading platform in 2000, growing to acquire NYSE itself in only 13 years. It is a key infrastructure provider of America’s energy, bond, and mortgage markets. ICE is a rare story of exponential growth of a financial giant over decades, continually embracing innovation and technology. trade[XYZ] was the first HIP-3 deployer and responsible for spearheading the flourishing global RWA perpetual market today. Only a year ago, trade[XYZ] launched its first RWA perpetual markets. They took a bet on HIP-3, which had just launched after months of tireless development. Having followed their journey from day 1, I cannot overstate how much Shoku and the team have poured into growing these markets to a genuine source of price discovery for the most important assets in the world. Over the past three years, Hyperliquid has pioneered onchain infrastructure to house all of finance. Hyperliquid is nothing without its world-class builders. I am honored that trade[XYZ] and ICE have chosen to build on Hyperliquid to bring perpetual contracts to America. When I first spoke to Jeff Sprecher around a year ago, he asked what success looks like to me. I thought for some time and joked that it would be seeing ICE building on Hyperliquid's technology. I could never have predicted the progress that we've made as a community in a single year to make this come true. Excited to see what we can build together next.
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and trade[XYZ] have announced their plan to use Hyperliquid as the infrastructure layer to deploy perpetual futures markets for US traders across crypto, equities, commodities, foreign exchange, and other real-world assets, subject to regulatory approvals. ICE operates NYSE and some of the largest exchanges and clearing houses globally. In this structure: + Hyperliquid serves as the underlying technology infrastructure via HIP-3* + trade[XYZ] designs and implements the markets + ICE operates the regulated market and clearing structure Existing trade[XYZ] HIP-3 markets will remain unchanged. Hyperliquid is a neutral infrastructure layer with the goal of supporting large parts of the financial system. As with HIP-3, HIP-3* deployers are independent operators who use Hyperliquid as the onchain infrastructure layer for their own markets, while retaining control and responsibility over their deployment.

UPDATE: I can confirm that the Ledger supply chain is compromised in Europe as well. @Ledger should initiate an immediate product recall to protect users. I just purchased a second device from a different Mediamarkt location today, recorded the unboxing process, and discovered spyware once again (video linked in the second tweet). The device was compromised in the exact same manner, featuring identical modifications (such as additional cables and an LTE module). This indicates its a widespread issue rather than an isolated incident, potentially affecting Ledger inventory across MediaMarkt and Saturn stores throughout Europe (comprising over 1,000 stores across 11 countries). My initial hypothesis was that these devices were returns that looked unopened to the employees and were just sold again as new however, a MediaMarkt employee confirmed that the device I purchased was not a return, and that returned Ledgers are sent directly back to the manufacturer rather than resold. Store records show the inventory originated from Aqipa GmbH. While Ledger's CTO was unsure if Aqipa serves as the direct distributor between Ledger and MediaMarkt, it appears to be the case. Given that Aqipa distributes across Europe, any physical retail store receiving stock through them may be at risk. I sent the first ledger to mark and the second one is going to ledger now, so that they can analyse it. If you purchased a ledger from anyone other than the official ledger store, make sure to check your device!!

It's a 1000x glorified casino where you can't even decide precisely where you enter or exit a trade. When you place a trade, you get queued behind 1,000 other trades and need to patiently wait your turn, which can take 5 to 15 mins. Withdrawing, this is lame.

Everyone should boycott Polymarket Not because there’s no airdrop. If they clearly stated there won’t be a poly token, I’d have no problem with them But the way they treat their own community with $poly is outrageous. I never used it for the airdrop, it simply had the most liquid markets for what I needed As long as these incompetent people are running it i’m never touching it again

Do not sell your S3 airdrop If the SEC actually allows revenue sharing, stakers could receive share of the exchange profits instead of staking rewards, potentially significantly more than the current 1.8–2.4% annual staking yield on HL And if staking rewards no longer need to come from token emissions, the tokens currently allocated for staking rewards could potentially be burned instead Instant $1000 / HYPE

Had a great time at the @reboundx_net Perp DEX Day trading competition hosted by @magonia_B I first entered the perp DEX world through @Lighter_xyz , and since then I’ve traded across countless perp DEXs and they’re still where I do most of my trading today. This time, I had the chance to compete against some great traders representing @variational_io , @Aster_DEX , and @Lighter_xyz in a short 30-minute competition. And somehow, I managed to take 1st place. Having used all four exchanges myself, I personally felt that Extended was the easiest and most comfortable venue for HTF trading, and I think that ended up being a pretty meaningful edge for me during the competition. I’m also sitting on around 30K Extended points myself, so I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming TGE. Had a lot of fun competing with everyone. Expecting more!
Team Extended is in Seoul for Korea Blockchain Week. Congrats to @GoraeTracker, who took the win for Extended at @reboundx_net Perp DEX Day, competing alongside traders representing Lighter, Aster and Variational. It's great to be in Seoul with the wider perp community.
