Me & my lass are doing the Great North Run this year for the 1st time. We're running for the MS Society. If you're able to donate anything at all or retweet this, that would be hugely appreciated. We're not runners so just finishing will be an achievement. justgiving.com/page/sandrada…

Matthias Jaissle on Matias Fernandez-Pardo:
"Matias has had a heavy virus, he has been out for more than two weeks. He is progressing and training again with us, we will have to see how he is physically before Fulham."

Probably a blessing that Joe is injured if we're persisting with 4-2-3-1 as he can't play in a two. #NUFC
Matthias Jaissle on Lewis Miley and Joelinton:
"Lewis is getting better and better, showed a good reaction, he is making progress how I expected and wished for.
Joey went out with an injury again, we need to make the final treatment plan for him and see how long he will be out."

⚫Unique qualities 🔎
⚪Fans can buy into Steur as faith in approach dwindles 👥
⚫Tops progressive passes, carries, accuracy stats 🤩🎯
⚪Imperfect solution to turn to 18yo ⚖️
👀Why it's time for Jaissle to expedite Sean Steur's ascension into #NUFC XI:

NUFC have not lost a match in which Sean Steur has started this season.
Two wins, one draw.
In Steur's ~331 minutes on the pitch this season, NUFC have scored nine goals and conceded six (four of those coming at Leeds United).
In the ~749 minutes without him on the pitch, NUFC have scored eight goals and conceded 14.
Physically incapable of playing together, apparently. #NUFC
⚫️ Newcastle are a team without a brain. There is nobody to control or dictate the game. There is nobody willing or able to impose themselves and take the initiative.
⚪️ It’s no surprise they improved (and I use that phrase very loosely) when Sean Steur came on. He absolutely has to play alongside Nico Gonzalez going forwards.
#NUFC
Choosing a system over what suits the players will finish him. Demanding players play through teams press when you're putting players on the pitch that couldn't be any less suited to that way of playing. Asking the 2 Joe's to play through a press has never been their game. #NUFC
😬 NEW: What next for #nufc?
⚫️ Booed off - but apathy is real danger
⚪️ Jacobo Solis still in town meeting key figures
⚫️ Alarming press conference admission after long ball misery
⚪️ Patience at boardroom level - but tough run coming up

Not far off the worst pre takeover as well.
This is some of the worst post takeover football we've played. Absolutely devoid of imagination, creativity or guile. Flat as fuck #NUFC
Jaissle coming out and saying the players weren't brave enough on the ball. That's because Burn, Willock, Joelinton, Elanga, Barnes and Osula aren't capable of playing through the pitch and progressing the ball. Asking players to do things they simply can't do. #NUFC
This has to tell you something. Sean Steur has recorded the most successful creative passes of any player on the pitch, despite playing just 20 minutes. Surely that tells you everything you need to know about what he brings to this team. He needs to start.

🚨 Gateshead FC is now in real danger of facing winding-up proceedings
⏳ I understand HMRC have set a deadline of Wednesday (Nov 4) for progress before formal demands will be made. That would give the club 7 days to clear outstanding PAYE & VAT
🇺🇸 Flacks Group (an American private investment group) are ready to proceed with a takeover but need Shoreline Limited (fronted by Viktor Anichebe and who previously attempted to buy the club) to sign a waiver over money they claim they are owed by former club shareholders
🤝 This would clear the way for Flacks to complete their takeover of Gateshead, with Shoreline then able to pursue those shareholders separately
⚽ I understand Shoreline are currently in talks with the IFR to purchase League One Bromley
💰 Gateshead's players have not been paid & the club currently owes £200k to creditors
👀 Flacks' plans for Gateshead sound exciting & ambitious, with high-profile staff ready to come in
As well as Willock has done this season, and has been a good surprise. Makes sense to cash in on what value he has left in January and bring some Summer money forward for a #10. #NUFC

I’ll conclude this fine weekend here.
Rory Finneran.
Yesterday was his 10th game for Notts.
His 10th as a League One footballer.
He has had some start to the season.
• 811 minutes played already.
• 1 goal and 2 assists.
• A memorable international break with Ireland u21, beating England.
• Endless performances worthy of being Man of the Match.
I don’t think a loan could’ve started any better, has been and no doubt will continue to be a joy to watch.
For me, established himself so quickly as a very good footballer for this level.
Cheers again, @NUFC.
He has got one MASSIVE future ahead of him. 🇮🇪💫
