I think some of you need a reminder of Joong’s words to us:
“I want everyone to love themselves even more … more than everyone loves me. On the days when I can be a source of happiness for everyone, I want to be that for all of you. But if one day I’m no longer your source of happiness, I want you all to turn back and love yourselves, okay?”
If supporting Joong no longer brings you happiness, then it’s okay to walk away. No one is forcing you to stay, and no one is forcing you to continue supporting him. But constantly shading him whenever he doesn’t act the way you want him to is neither fair to him nor healthy for you.
Let him live his life, make his own choices, and grow in the ways he wants to. If you can no longer find happiness in following his journey, give yourself permission to step away. I promise you, letting go is much easier than staying just to criticize him every step of the way. 🤍
