Is a photography website worth keeping up anymore? A question about photography websites and the way people consume photography today. Are photographers spending too much time maintaining websites that their audiences rarely visit? I’m beginning to wonder. For years, having a photography website seemed essential. It was where you showcased your work, published galleries, shared stories, posted sports coverage, and established your presence. But the way people consume photography has changed. Today, most of our audience is already on Facebook, Instagram, or X. We post the photos directly to those platforms, add a caption or some background, and people engage right there. From what I’m seeing in my own analytics, there’s very little interest in clicking away from social media to view additional galleries or read longer content. Even when a post includes a link to a full photo gallery, people generally seem satisfied with the images in their feed. It makes me question the return on the time involved in maintaining a website: uploading photos, building galleries, writing articles, sharing links, and keeping everything updated. I can certainly see the value of a website for client galleries, booking, contact information, pricing, and a professional portfolio. But if you’re a photographer who regularly publishes sports photos, concert galleries, event coverage, or written reviews, is a standalone website still worth maintaining? Or should we be putting nearly all our effort into the platforms where our audiences already spend their time? I’m interested in hearing what other photographers’ traffic analytics are telling them. Are people actually visiting your websites, or are they consuming almost everything through social media?

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS | RAMS ROLL TO 4-4! Under the lights at Lasell Field, the Northbridge Rams made a statement Friday night, rolling past rival Millbury, 50-13, on October 30, 2026. Coming into the matchup at 3-4, the Rams faced a 5-2 Millbury squad, but records meant little once these two longtime rivals took the field. What followed was an intense, physical Friday night battle, fueled by the kind of rivalry and animosity that makes high school football special. Northbridge took control early and never looked back, putting up 50 points in a dominant performance that sends the Rams into the final stretch of the season at 4-4, with a Division 7 playoff game on the horizon. 🏈 RAMS SCORING HIGHLIGHTS 🔥 Mo Rodney Daigle: Five rushing touchdowns (2, 9, 10, 16 and 23 yards). 🔥 Brady Direnzo: 17-yard touchdown reception from Evan LaChapelle. 🔥 Tanner Haden: 23-yard touchdown reception from Mason Mawn. Extra Points & Conversions: Andy Diciero connected on the PAT kicks, while Mason Mawn and Bryce Rogozenski contributed successful two-point conversions. The Rams got the job done on both sides of the ball. The offense put points on the board, and the defense came up big, keeping Millbury in check throughout the night. FINAL: NORTHBRIDGE 50 | MILLBURY 13 The Rams are building momentum at just the right time. The road to the Division 7 playoffs is calling! 📸 More Friday Night Lights action from Lasell Field! RAMS ROLL PAST NIPMUC, 43-20 - 10.24.2026 After a shaky start to the season, the Northbridge Rams are gaining momentum at the right time. Northbridge put together a big performance on Saturday, October 24th at Nipmuc, earning a 43-20 win over Nipmuc to improve to 3-4 and secured a spot in the postseason D7 playoff picture. The Rams' offense came out firing, with QB Mason Mawn connecting with Bryce Rogozenski for a 21-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Mawn continued to spread the ball around, finding Mo Daigle and Tanner Haden for touchdown passes, while Daigle added a rushing touchdown of his own. Haden found the end zone twice through the air, and Evan LaChapelle added a fourth-quarter rushing touchdown as Northbridge kept the pressure on. From a tough start to a team fighting its way into playoff contention, the Rams are showing what can happen when a team keeps battling. It’s not over yet!!! For Northbridge football, a 43-20 win over Nipmuc means their playoff chances “ain’t over yet” (a motto coach TJ Lucas had printed on a T-shirt he wore Saturday after his team started the season 1-4). Back to back wins mean Business is Boomin’ for the Rams @morodneydaigle

This Northbridge Rams, Mo Daigle run deserves a second look! A whole lot of effort on this one. Unfortunately, the fantastic TD run was called back due to a holding penalty. Northbridge still came away with a 20-8 win over BVT! 🏈
