This is *easily* my least favorite picture of all time. By a mile.
My dad was nervous but still so eager and confident to fight cancer. He was never given a fair shot and was gone 16 days later.
Today is the anniversary of that brutal farewell.
WEEK 7 REVIEW
Unofficial Caleb Williams report card of his 41 called passing plays vs. Patriots
🌟— 4 plays (star power)
👍— 9 plays (very nice)
⭕️ — 24 plays
👎— 3 plays (substandard)

Cole Kmet Appreciation Piece.
Really well done here by @kfishbain looking at one of the Bears glue guys and what they will be without going forward.

Ben Johnson was noticeably bummed today with the season-ending injury to TE Cole Kmet.
“It stinks. I hate it for him. I hate it for his teammates as well. And yet the train keeps rolling on. Someone else has to step up.”
Last week at this time, the NFL world was curious what Caleb Williams would look like in his return from an injury layoff.
61 points and 613 passing yards later, @kfishbain sees a Bears offense humming behind its QB1.

“Never seen that before.”
There was a lot of that in the Bears win Thursday night. From the longest kick of Cairo Santos’ career, to an illegal handoff to Joe Thuney, to a wild defensive meltdown on the final play of the first half.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT:
nytimes.com/athletic/7716345…
Caleb Williams with an absolute rocket to convert third down from deep in his own territory in Q4 of a close game. Rare and elite arm talent. Rare and elite competitive drive. Dude gives the Bears the license to chase GRAND objectives.
Seven games into his seventh season, Bears TE Cole Kmet has missed only one game in his career. That was Week 8 last year in Baltimore with a back issue.
Now the Bears are bracing to be without him the rest of the way after Kmet suffered a right knee injury in last night's win.
Mini bye awaits the Bears now ahead of their next prime time showdown with Seattle in November. Great week of momentum they just enjoyed.
Bears hit the 30-point mark once again.
They improve to 5-2 with a big win over the Patriots.

Cairo Santos seals the game with a 58-yard bomb. Career long. Wow. Big balls to try that kick under the circumstances. Bigger ones to nail it.
Absolute rocket from Caleb to Rome there. Unreal throw to convert third-and-long in a crucial situation.
Bears offense is humming again. Really solid opening drive to Q3 after cashing in at the end of the half. Had they only been able to make one tackle, this game is 27-7 and a runaway.
Bad decision by Drake Maye. Even worse ball. D-Jack cashes in. The Bears still lead and can tack on to it here with some end-of-half efficiency.
