Just dealt with the most retarded Yookay moment
>want to rent countryside cottage
>I make 30x the monthly rental price salary wise
>I have flawless credit, countless references from landlords and 7x the full years rent just sitting in my bank account
>they want my tax returns. I don’t Legally don’t pay tax as I’m a non UK tax resident. Explain my great income though.
That doesn’t suffice
“uhh sir that’s not good enough for us, we want proof of income
>offer them notarized bank statements from an accountant
“Uhh no we need tax returns”
Losing my shit. I offer to simply pay the full years rent upfront.
“uhh under new UK law we can’t let you pay a full years rent upfront. Only 1 months rent deposit maximum”
Fucking retarded. You want to minimize risk but I am giving you a full year upfront
>I ask how foreigners get a place if they’re freshly here
“You need a guarantor who pays UK tax, has a normal wagie job and makes £30k/year”
>I can’t find a single British friend who hasn’t left the UK because they got rich, isnt self employed, or isn’t broke / jobless.
>Discover companies can guarantee your rent for you for like £1k, whatever.
“sir it has to be an individual from a good standing position in the community as well, no companies allowed”
The property has been on the market for 1.5 months with numerous spelling errors like “decebmer” and “evitoment”
The UK is retarded. I could buy the cottage for cash if it was for sale. I hate this place.

At what point do we stop focusing on who needs to pay more tax and start asking where all of our tax money is going.

🚨 NEW: 73% of responses to the consultation used by Shabana Mahmood to decide her settlement reforms were current visa holders compared with 18% who were British citizens
Darek 🇬🇧 retweeted
This is indeed extraordinary. It’s fixed. This government is destroying Britain and doing it quite deliberately.
Who gave them such a stinking great majority that they can do it? 🤔 - you know who that was.
Extraordinary. Just 18 per cent - 36,000 - of the 202,000 people who responded to the consultation on the Home Office's crackdown on indefinite leave to remain were British citizens. Three quarters were "current visa holders". Critics now asking if it is any wonder Shabana Mahmood's immigration reforms were watered down. More now on @GBNEWS.

Only 18% of respondents to the government’s immigration consultation were actually British citizens….. most of the rest were migrants wanting to stay here

🚨BREAKING: The polling data the UK Government used to justify its relaxing of immigration restrictions has been revealed
Just 19% of the people asked were white
Just 18% of people were British citizens

And now the Home Secretary is going to effectively fast track the recipients of these patently fraudulent visas into ILR status - giving them the ability to claim all the benefits under the sun.
Extraordinarily reckless.

Slavery was an evil in which people from every continent and region participated. We should be honest about the whole history, not select the parts that are politically convenient today, especially given Britain's leading role in ending the transatlantic slave trade.
If Caribbean countries are asking Britain for a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, will they also be asking the same of the descendants of African kingdoms, rulers and merchants who captured, sold and profited from the trade?
On demands for reparations, whether through cash or debt relief, we have been down this track before. Twenty-five years ago, Jubilee 2000, Drop the Debt and Make Poverty History argued that cancelling the debts of poorer countries would give them a fresh start. More than $100 billion of debt was eventually written off, but many of those countries have since built up even bigger debts. Labour are already spending too much on Britain's welfare state, now is not the time for Andy Burnham to be providing global welfare.
There is no reason British taxpayers today should be held financially responsible for things that happened generations before any of us were born. And I have even less patience for political elites in commonwealth countries who don’t know how to make their own citizens prosperous now looking for another opportunity to blame Britain.
As Prime Minister, Andy Burnham should be Britain’s greatest defender. Instead, he is writing articles saying we need to confront our history (as if we haven't done enough of that) and considering another formal historical apology. Tony Blair already expressed Britain’s deep sorrow and regret for our role in the slave trade nearly twenty years ago. There is no need to do so again.
This is all another navel-gazing distraction. The Commonwealth should be looking forward, not endlessly backwards. That means economic partnerships to make us all richer and deeper military and security cooperation against common threats. If every Commonwealth summit becomes an exercise in presenting Britain with demands for cash then we need to start asking if it is worth the effort.

A wander in London yesterday. Stood in the third world looking towards the developed world. I took my brother, his wife and their two teenage sons on a lovely tour of London. They live in a beautiful house, in a beautiful village in the countryside in England. I thought it would be interesting to take them for a walk along the whole length of Whitechapel Road. They were shocked. Sure, they knew it wouldn’t be an English location, but they were shocked that it is only Muslim. Most women wore full burqas. There are almost zero white people and zero people who aren’t Muslim and very committed Muslims at that. There is zero diversity. There is full diversity in the way the Labour Party mean it though: the eradication of white people. Whitechapel has always been a melting pot of different cultures, but now it is only Muslim. No other culture exists there. I took my brother and his family to many beautiful places across London, but I did think it was necessary to take them here. I think everyone from England should walk this street and realise what is coming to their towns and villages very soon as the Muslim Home Secretary works as hard and fast as possible to import millions more Muslims who hate us and our way of life. Anyway, it was a lovely sunny day and we saw lots of wonderful places that white British people created.

Religious hate crimes, you say?
This Islamophobia Awareness Month, we must shine a light on the abhorrent hatred and discrimination Muslims continue to face.
In the last year alone, religious hate crimes targeting Muslims rose by 15% in England and Wales.
This is utterly unacceptable. London will always stand against hatred, prejudice and discrimination.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
UK security agencies still assess Islamist extremism as the largest terrorism threat. MI5's Islamist-related caseload remains roughly 75% of its counter-terrorism work, according to recent threat assessments.

Mad how Axel Rudakubana's genocidal ancestry has no bearing on his Welsh Choirboyness, even though his parents moved here right before his birth, but I'm completely responsible for Transatlantic slavery 500 years ago.

Nobody ever seems to demand Arab nations to apologise or give reparations for their slave trade, which was even larger, longer, and brutal than the transatlantic slave trade.

When I pointed out to her that she had driven past my stop, despite my ringing the bell well before, she was unable to understand what was said.
