That's a hilarious definition of "overperformance" when only three Republican House candidates in New England even broke 40% of the vote!
Replying to @NateSilver538
Note also the GOP overperformance in New England, the one part of the country where non-MAGA Republicans still exist as candidates for major offices, basically.

According to official statistics released on November 1, 2026, the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) currently has 602 members in total, including:
•410 priests;
•24 deacons;
•168 seminarians (excluding deacons);
•An average age of 39 years.
In 2026, 25 priests were ordained - the highest number since the FSSP’s founding in 1988. The average over the past 12 years is approximately 15 ordinations per year.
There has been continuous growth despite the difficulties created by Traditionis Custodes, published in 2021. The FSSP serves 154 dioceses, with 257 centers of Mass, 48 personal parishes, and 144 houses.
While many dioceses face a serious vocational crisis, the FSSP continues to grow, with full seminaries and a notably young average age: a clear sign of the vitality of the Traditional Mass and of classical priestly formation.

The median voter in America supports neither broad deportation nor strong immigration restriction. S/he supports controlled ("legal") positive migration at levels the typical Trump voter would consider "high." There is no getting around these facts.

"Cyanide"
Hang it in the Louvre
Six days before the election, more than two dozen Trump strategists logged onto a private video call. The mood was grim. The talk turned to cyanide. “Do you want the white pill first, or the black pill first?" @ShaneGoldmacher @jonathanvswan @maggieNYT nytimes.com/2026/11/04/us/po…

Americans have voted on inflation twice now (2024 & 2026), and both times they have said that they hate it. First they took it out on Biden, then they took it out on Trump. This is a serious problem for national populism going forward.
