9 months ago I shared a video where my engine beat @unity ECS on the web by 17x
I got a lot of criticism bc it turned out Unity didn't support Burst on the web at the time
they do now. so rematch:
ECS: ~2ms vs ~9ms
CPU: ~3ms vs ~28ms
@kaigen3d is still 4.2x to 8.7x faster 🧵
just finished my ECS system in C and it turns out it's ~17x faster than @unity DOTS on the web
that's 100k boids at ~90 FPS instead of 17 FPS

I've published my first addon for #godot. It's a fork of BetterTerrain but with steroids.

First demo: The Minecraft Test.
@kaigen3d works great with AI. The difference with Three.js is that when you're done it runs on Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android *and* the Web. (VR soon!)
oh and it runs at 330+ FPS on a 6 year old laptop gpu.
