Our original Datacoin goes back to over 13 years. It started as a reliable and decentralized storage service which uses $DTC to pay for services. Encrypted Files are stored on local HDD's of all users in the DTC network. Over a decade later, we're taking it so much further.

We appreciate your patience during this quiet time. $DTC fundamentals are built on long terms progression. For the second half of 2013, DTC got almost no attention but we pulled though, coming back strong in 2014.

Solana: Use state compression (Concurrent Merkle Trees + ZK proofs) to store data blobs verifiably on-ledger while compressing state massively (up to 600x–24,000x cheaper for large datasets like NFTs/data). Only Merkle roots live in active accounts; full data is ledger-verified.

Datacoin is entering this next phase with a fundamentally different execution layer. The original Datacoin proved that consensus-secured data persistence was possible. This relaunch focuses on making it usable at scale.

$DTC We first launched Datacoin in 2013 as one of the first decentralized, on-chain data storage networks. At a time when blockchains were used almost exclusively for payments, Datacoin explored a different idea: permanent, verifiable data storage secured by consensus.

Now, 13 years later, the original Datacoin team is relaunching — rebuilt on Solana to meet modern performance, scalability, and cost requirements. The mission remains unchanged: reliable, censorship-resistant data storage designed to outlast platforms and intermediaries.

What changes is the infrastructure. Datacoin enters its net phase with a production-grade chain, modern developer tooling, and the throughput required for real-world usage.
