Seq continues to amaze me. My personal dev machine tracking a crazy amount of messages from 50+ microservice workers. Thats 21,000 per MINUTE! @datalust_seq rocks.

After much trial and error, I believe Serilog + Serilog Tracing [+ @datalust_seq] is the best logging/otel stack for most .NET shops. It's simple, effective, and what we use for PureBlazor and our clients.

When the guy from Brisbane and the guy from Melbourne sit next to each other in Adelaide, and manage to match their @datalust_seq socks. @larsklint You have to go home and change. #dddadelaide

𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗾 𝗶𝗻 .𝗡𝗘𝗧 If you want to learn how to implement structured logging and distributed tracing in .NET applications, you're in the right place. There's one awesome tool that covers (almost) all your monitoring needs. It's called Seq, and it recently got distributed tracing. I'll show you how to correlate logs and traces across services, visualize request flows, and identify bottlenecks in distributed systems. Check it out here: youtu.be/F7nnCsIsVi0

. @datalust_seq is doing all of this on a single Raspberry Pi 5, and still valiantly triggering alerts in real-time

I am loving @datalust_seq 's support for OTEL spans alongside Phobos' structured OTEL tracing for @AkkaDotNET This is such a better way to see what's going on across all of the Akka clusters (we have 6 right now) in our test lab than any dedicated tracing tool I've used

Here @liammclennan is diving into the fascinating world of databases, showing off the incredible journey and hard work behind them, with a live demo of his own database creation, Wormwood! Check out how he shows the workings of chain of iterators in such an entertaining manner!

A few years ago we switched @datalust_seq's build orchestration over to C#, since .NET has great facilities for instrumentation, debugging, and coping with complexity. Fast forward, this now lets us visualize our builds using Seq's own tracing support! Dogfooding FTW 😁

OH MY GOSH! It works!! 🎉 LOVE THIS. Running: github.com/maraisr/rian/blob… All I had to do was create a super simple http/json -> http/protobuf forwarder and 🚀

Serilog + Seq = Fantastic monitoring for .NET Serilog is a structured logging library. And Seq is a structured logging server. Match made in heaven? You can use Seq to search and analyze your logs in real time. Here's how to get started: youtu.be/mT8ZkXafuZk

Writing software is fun. Supporting software, not so much. Instrumentation is the life hack that turns supporting software into writing more software 😌

Ahh it’s a thread! Always thought the Serilog logo was a fish hook or toothbrush or something
