fanfiction is a form of writing, which means it’s a form of art, whether it wants to be considered as such or not; should art/writing be subject to critique only when it’s serious and being sold? how can you create something and then refuse to have it discussed, judged or valued?

Aside from how divorced from reality this is, something rarely mentioned is that when someone assumes a trans man is a cis man (or trans woman as cis woman), and then discovers they are trans- the trans person is often subject to extreme violence bc the cis person feels “tricked”
