Hit my first $1mil in sales in my 16th month. Been a fun journey so far and while Amazon has its downsides, I am very grateful for the platform changing my life 馃檹 The next million will be done by the end of 2024.

Another very nice month. Margin was lower than last month but still way better than it was earlier in the year. Good profit. Spent the most I ever have on inventory this month too so 2025 should be a good start. I鈥檓 not expecting a big December. I have little inventory checked in and I鈥檓 not FBMing a lot. My goals going forward are to: -Sustain good margin months like this and last month -Spend little time sourcing and purchase a lot when the opportunity arises -Get rid of 99% of leakage and focus on inventory turnover I have been scaling Amazon since I started and I reached a point where I just want to sustain for the near future to stack cash and have more time to work on other things. I鈥檓 okay with a poor December this year as I did not prepare for it but I have learned so much for next Q4. I will spend December reconciling alot of 2024 leakage and also 2023, getting ready for taxes, liquidating all old inventory sitting in my house, graduating college, improving systems for my VA, and focusing on other businesses.

Best month ever sales-wise. Best month ever profit-wise. Best month ever margin-wise. And I worked very little to achieve this compared to before. Slow end to the month but more inventory should be checked in soon. I did not buy a crazy amount of inventory this month though so if I want a big December, I can鈥檛 rely on FBA. Gonna have to FBM again this year it seems. Have a lot of improvements I鈥檓 going to implement this month.

crazy month so far sales wise, profit wise, and discipline wise. this is probably going to be my best month ever by a HUGE amount. ive also been getting alot of stuff done every single day this month which is something i struggle with. also just bought a course for something new im doing and have been spending more time on that. spending lots on inventory and probably going to spend an insane amount on prime days.

Haven鈥檛 been on twitter much or posting. I get way too distracted on here by other business models when I already have enough to focus on rn. This was my best month ever excluding December 2023. Lower revenue than other months this year but my margin is so so good right now. It is back to 20%+ and I know I can maintain it. I made my margin a big focus starting in July as I had let it drop really low. I increased my sourcing criteria and VA started doing tasks that would directly increase my margin as I was too lazy for that. My inventory was taking forever to check in in the beginning of the month but you can see when it all started to. Other than that, things have been going pretty well: - Taught VA alot of admin tasks so now iI barely have to do any. - Bookkeeping fully caught up - S-Corp application accepted - Spending time on other business I only spent $30k on inventory this month though because I had a lot of inventory held up. But now I should be back to normal and will aim to spend 6 figures on inventory each month going forward. Got to get better at sourcing to do that though. 馃

automation come in clutch sometimes. i have to take images and combine all of them into a pdf for an admin task i have. takes way too long. i could just make my VA do it but im not tryna waste his time either. so i just made a small script that goes through the folder and goes into each subfolder, combines images, and puts the output pdf in there. takes < 30 seconds. will save like 3-4 hours a month.

barely sourced or bought any inventory this month but will get back to it soon. been working on more backend things and non-amz stuff. i also just have so much in inventory and not that much in cash. also, when i did source this month, didn't go very well. im not worried though, still have so much in inventory, and i will ramp up sourcing/buying by a shitton soon.

just made some looms that i was putting off because its kind of a complicated task but i decided to just stop thinking that my VA can't handle things. i need to trust him more. he is very capable and hard-working, and he doesn't need to master the task on his first try. but these tasks im giving him should free up alot of time and i am going to look for more places i can save my time just by making him do it. also going to hire another VA soon probably for sourcing exclusively and keep my current VA at admin tasks/sourcing + purchasing soon enough.

Selling on Amazon without proper accounting isn't a business- it's a hobby

i think i need to move alot faster than i am at the moment. i get comfortable and slow down. i need to be teaching my VA a task the second i know enough to teach him. i need to do things the second i think of them, not write it down for later. i need to source a sale the second i see it went live before items go out of stock. i need to teach my VA purchasing already. i need to take advantage of tedious loops. if it takes too much time, i need to just make a VA do it. im going to make it a goal to do more of this stuff and really get my time spent on Amazon down. by February 2025, i shouldn't be spending more than 10 hours a week on OA because the stuff i do is easily teachable to a VA.

bad day sourcing today but thats okay because not every day will be good. you just have to make the most out of when they are good. i frequently have days where i get less than $1k spend in and then other days i get $20k spend in. you just have to be ready when the opportunities are in front of you.

very low on cash right now, so much money in inventory. needs to check in faster so i can start getting some sales. still have a very high spend goal this month and will be higher every month until 2025. don't let the momentum stop.

so many ways to make money online, just choose one. focus on it until you are making good money from it which will happen if you put in the hours and aren鈥檛 dumb. your brain opens to so many possibilities once you start making money online.

sourcing in november and december will feel so easy. i remember when 2023 ended and we were in january, i was struggling馃う鈥嶁檪锔廱ecause i was just buying the same type of shit everyday for those two months with infinite sales ongoing. this time, i don't think i'll have that issue because i have consistent items/categories that i can sell year-round and should be able to find at a good price even in january. I also took january very easy and recuperated. i don't think i will do that this year. i will continue to buy inventory for january in december this time.
