The government won’t allow advertisements for cigarettes and you can barely promote alcohol. Why the hell can I not watch five minutes of a sports event without being inundated with gambling ads. This is killing our society. Destroying young men. Time to reframe this.

CBC’s Rosemary Barton exemplifies exactly why intelligent, accomplished people hesitate to run for office: even when they follow the rules—something Mark Carney has been clear about from day one—they are subjected to relentless badgering.
If Canada wants strong political leadership, we need to move past this tall poppy syndrome. We should be encouraging, not discouraging, successful private-sector leaders from stepping up to serve their country—especially in times of crisis.
For over a decade, Canada has struggled to find competent political leadership across the spectrum. Now more than ever, we need bold, unconventional leaders willing to take on the responsibility of guiding the country through these unprecedented challenges. It is hard work and it is a sacrifice. Show some respect.
Rosemary, enough already.
The bigger lesson here is how fragile democracy is, not blind allegiances…
The new thing ‘Team Canada 🇨🇦.’
The fact that Canadians can easily change allegiance to the EU (includes Germany & Italy), because of the Orange Man.
While forgetting that over 100K Cdns were directly killed or wounded by German and Italian troops seems a bit unbalanced.

Let’s be clear: Canadians don’t hate America - we know most of you are decent, reasonable people. We despise Trump, his grifting crime family, the spineless GOP loyalists, the MAGA cult, Fox News & every single enabler who’s helped unleash this fucking monster on the world.

An important study that links (albeit doesn’t prove) schizophrenia and heavy cannabis use.
It’s not hard to imagine that there are negative long term impacts of a drug that knowingly alters the sensorium.
Especially concerning among younger patients.

Today, we honor the memory of the 14 women whose lives were tragically stolen 35 years ago at Polytechnique.
We remember their names, their dreams, and the potential they carried.
As a father to a daughter, this anniversary strikes an even deeper chord. May we strive for a world free from violence, where everyone can live and learn in freedom and safety.
