This is what happens when Trump isn't surrounded by "yes men" and maga rallies... he gets BOOED by a SOLD OUT stadium.
This BOO will go down in history.

Judy Heumann dedicated her life to the fight for civil rights—starting as a young organizer at Camp Jened and later helping lead the disability rights movement. Michelle and I were fortunate to work with Judy over the years, and are thinking of her family and friends.

ALT Image description: A black and white photo of Judy Heumann. In the photo, she has short, chin-length hair and octagon-shaped metal glasses and is speaking into a microphone while seated in a manual push wheelchair. She is wearing a coat with a large button pin with words that read “SIGN 504” in very large block letters and “HUMAN RIGHTS ACCD” in smaller block letters.

Still no obit or mention of the trailblazer the Times has covered in the past. Let's hope they rectify that soon. Heumann's efforts tansformed millions of lives.

Whew. Reading @AlexSVenet’s Equity-Centered Trauma-Informed Education and isn’t this the question we need to ask but won’t? Why is trauma-informed education an appealing topic for professional development, but ending the things that cause trauma is not?”

This is the moment to make our stand. NOW.
Today, our movement is stronger than the gun lobby. They are weak. We are potent.
Finally, a President and a Congress that supports gun reform.
No more Newtowns. No more Parklands. No more Boulders.
Now - we make our stand.

I know I keep saying it, but now that we're a full year into this thing I'm just blown away by how millions of teachers across the country have completely shifted and reimagined both their pedagogy and their role as educators to continue serving their students. It's incredible.
