I am a puddle. I love this kid and his reactions.
Ben Rice wore a red bracelet from Walker, a young heart transplant patient he met at Boston Children’s Hospital, from April through the postseason.
Topps put an image of Ben Rice wearing the bracelet for his 40th home run Topps Now card, and Walker’s reaction to seeing it is everything 🥹❤️

Frelick reached base in all 10 postseason games he played. He had five hits, including a home run, scored three runs, and drove in two as the Brewers won their first ever #WorldSeries .
@BCBirdBall has back-to-back champs as Sal’s BC teammate Emmet Sheehan won last year.

Congratulations to my good friend and Jesuit brother Jack Butler, SJ, inaugurated today as President of @BostonCollege. Jack is one of the kindest, most generous and most pastoral people I know. BC is blessed to have him at the helm. Go Eagles!

My interview with Sam McDowell for "The Last Boy" helped me understand Mickey Mantle in a way only another recovering alcoholic could, a man who lost everything and gave everything he had back when he got sober. He also gave me my ending: "He died an honest death."

161 Cincinnati Reds cards 1970-1980! Also with George Foster autographed baseball card!
Enjoy and think back to the days of the Big Red Machine!
The cards are well loved, with exception of the auto.

Lon Warneke finished his career 192-121 with a 3.18 ERA & also hit the first triple and scored the first run in NL All Star Game history.
Warneke is also the only person to ever play & umpire in an all star game and a World Series game.
All around under-appreciated career ⚾️
