BREAKING: President Trump says he has finalized a deal to lower ground beef prices for working American families. Under the deal, the U.S. will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of ground-beef product to be imported over the next 90 days with no out-of-quota tariff. Trump says the beef will be sold 25% below current market prices while giving American ranchers time to rebuild the cattle herd

It’s because that would be admitting the beef checkoff is a failure. The checkoff refused work with @SBakerMD and he went ahead and created more demand for beef than they ever have. Mr. Levi works with the checkoff and knows it’s a failure but also knows NCBA needs a slush fund to lobby for his corporate partners.
