She is Lakshmi.
When a man named Hemanth entered a school in Raptadu, Andhra Pradesh, carrying a chainsaw, nobody could have imagined the horror that was about to unfold.
Hemanth entered a classroom and brutally attacked a girl student named Gopika.
But in that terrifying moment, one girl refused to stand by and watch. She is Lakshmi, Gopika's friend. She bravely stepped forward and tried to save her friend from the attacker.
In that struggle, Lakshmi was also seriously injured. She could have chosen to save herself, but she chose to stand up for her friend and did everything she could to protect her.
Today, both girls are fighting their own battles in hospital. Gopika has undergone major surgeries, and Lakshmi is also receiving treatment for her injuries.
We pray for the speedy recovery of both Gopika and Lakshmi.

A daughter remembers her father (A M Da’Costa, Radio Engineer) who was killed on 19 September 1965 when a civilian a/c carrying the then CM of Gujarat - Shri Balwant Rai Mehta - was shot down by a PAF F-86 Sabre jet well inside India.
A total of seven lives were lost.
This included the passenger - the CM, his wife Saroj Ben, Mr. Francis Xavier Periera, PA to the CM and Mr. K P Shah, Journalist from the newspaper Gujarat Samachar.
The crew consisted of Captain Jehangir Merwan Engineer, Pilot, Mr. A M Da’Costa, Radio Engineer, Mr. V B Thorat, Aircraft Mechanic.
The F-86 was piloted by Flt Lt Qais Hussain from No.18 Squadron, PAF and was based near Karachi.
The civilian a/c was picked-up by PAF radar station at Badin and PAF jets from Mauripur (Karachi) was scrambled to check and intercept.
PAF would've flown at least ~100 km inside India to intercept the civilian a/c.
The real tragedy here is that when the pilot of the CM's plane saw the PAF jet, he wiggled his wings to demonstrate that it was a civilian a/c. The PAF pilot radioed this back to Badin and identified it as a civilian plane. But the PAF leaders still gave him permission/orders to fire and shoot it down.

In Khanna, CCTV footage from Mahant Kashmir Giri's residence shows a police officer placing something under a mattress. The same spot was later used to claim a recovery of 30 grams of heroin, leading to the saint's arrest..
