Really enjoyed teaming up with @GailNeill to write this piece and reflect on the power of @tania_dsc's words from the #UUStoptheClock conference:

My @kaffeobelfast peanut butter ball didn't stick around long enough for a pic but was washed down v nicely by the nicest loose leaf Earl Grey in town. Happy 10th Birthday KaffeO - friendliest gaff that never fails to power me through report-writing.

(Please don't judge me for my 'dishwater' tea, subtle flavour is always best - confessions of a self-confessed tea snob)

I've voted in every election since I was 18 🗳 If #votesat16 was in place I could have had my voice heard in another General Election & Assembly Election. If you can work & pay taxes you should be able to vote. Add your name if you agree > nus.org.uk/votes-at-16?recru…
Democracy shouldn't be a postcode lottery 🗳️ 16-year-olds can already vote in devolved elections in Scotland and Wales, but not in General Elections or local elections in England and Northern Ireland. It's time for votes at 16 in every UK election! 👉 nus.org.uk/votes-at-16

Collectively, as citizens, we need united condemnation of all abuses of children, no matter who they are perpetrated by. There is no cause that justifies this in a peaceful society. Those who carried out Monday's attack on a 16 year old boy are child abusers. – at Belfast, Northern Ireland
A CALL FOR CIVIC COURAGE. We call on all those who are deeply concerned about children's human rights to join with us in condemning the most recent abuse of a minor in Ballymoney on Monday evening. Speak out. Lend your voice to the voiceless. This can't be "our normal".

Louise are her team are doing amazing work. But they shouldn't have to. We need urgent help for families now
"I think there's a sense of loss of hope ultimately. The spark goes & people end up just existing. That's not a life." On the day devastating figures from @Trussell_NI show the scale of food bank use here we're reminded of this comment from Louise in the Larder, east Belfast.

Apologies to my entire email address list for getting bombarded with emails from me - my attempt to set up an 'out of office' has misfired rather dramatically 😳😱😳
