Please stop selling cheap, AI-generated images as NFTs.
At least edit them. Add your own touch. Develop the art. Make it something more than just a prompt and a click.
The space is already flooded with cheap AI-generated NFTs. Collectors are getting tired of it.
AI is a tool, not the art itself. 🫡
“when are NFTs coming back?”
When NFT platforms open to actual artists most of which are on Instagram and care far more about the concepts they dig and the vibes their art carries than how many likes / or sales they get.
THAT, is when.
And that won't happen tomorrow.
doubling down today. annoying i know. but here we are…
i’ve spent years trading crypto and most recently collecting art within its rails, and the longer i’m here, the more i think we’re asking the wrong question.
yes. this terrible, too often repeated, eye scratching question. “when are NFTs coming back?”
fuck i hate that question.
maybe the better question is why we’re still expecting the next generation of art collectors to care about the same things people did 5 years ago.
also to the common person, nfts are pfps.
they don’t realize there’s actually art art here. like Gen Z spending over $350k, up 19% and rising from last year art.
crypto-native art and glitch art have their place, too. but gen pop/the people spending ^ views that as just something you look at on your phone and move on. not something you display in your home (especially if your prone to epilepsy ha).
so imo we need to stop pretending the entire future of digital art depends on reviving the same audience that bought into the first cycle.
there’s a much bigger world of collectors outside of here.
people who love art. who care about originality, composition, emotion, and the artists behind the work. people who want to actually live with what they collect.
imagine more digital artists offering museum-quality physical editions alongside the NFT. or creating incredible digital native works meant to be experienced on beautiful displays in people’s homes.
suddenly, the conversation isn’t about floor prices, utility, or when liquidity returns.
it’s about the art.
this guy is thinking on totally different planes.
and what makes his posts special is they are research level while remaining understanble by mere mortals
In terms of brain waves and how they form memories from external reality, I modeled an experiment pool with my imagination. The wave creating pi electron containing organic molecules (aromatic hydrocarbons) create ripples in the cavities inside our cells and membranes. When those waves come together they create a boundary surface by collision of waves. I call it surface because original waves are raising inside a 3d volume. Surface is composed of constructive interference waves which are like a lining with a bold pen because they have bigger amplitudes. After the substraction just before boundary formation, meanings' total sum creates a visible boundary. This is my latest determination on memory as an electric wave interference. Steve knew and yet shareholder dividend maxxers chose otherwise.

We've done tons of user testing on this, and it turns out it doesn't work. Touch surfaces don't want to be vertical. It gives a great demo, but after a short period of time you start to fatigue, and after an extended period of time, your arm wants to fall off. It doesn't work. It's ergonomically terrible. Touch surfaces want to be horizontal.

AI is what brings the space of feasible things from Q to R.
If you didn't know if you could achieve something in your lifetime now 1) you know you can 2) you know you'll be able to go far beyond that, so it's R U {+/- infinty}.
What a time to be alive.

Is this the Apple Steve Jobs had built ? What would he think if we saw what has been done is just incremember iPhone, iPad numbers, increment memory size, increment prices?
@grok express what Steve Jobs would say in 2026 if we could witness the Apple's product line evolution.
Looking forward to a day when online blockchain-based platforms & marketplaces care more about art (Art, not collectibles, not short-lived breaking-news-based performance art), timeless art with effort put into its making.
A day when platforms will perform the actual work of fetching talented artists on IG & onboarding them, rather that promoting their friends.
A day when the content is valued as much as the branding.
Low hanging fruit.
True philAnthropists.
I don’t think people realize how selfless and wonderful the StackOverflow’s founders were.
Unlike reddit, x etc they insisted ALL of their content will be 100% open, nothing will ever be locked up in walled garden.
They made it a point by even offering structured data downloads!
They didn’t cared people cloning the website. They didn’t worry about putting the whole monetization thing at risk.
It was a true hacker spirit in it’s purest form.
Most folks won’t be able to grasp how hard this is. You are on top of the world. Millions of people depend on you daily. You have the rarest opportunity to rack in billions. And you still stay true to your principles.
This exactly in turn later enabled AI revolution. I still remember downloading entire SO archives and preparing it for pre-training while Reddit and others went onto lawfare and firewalling the content. Note that this was the content their users - not reddit employees - had created for free and voluntarily to help others and the world. But they locked it all up for profiting from it personally.
SO did none of that. I think they knew they will be sacrificed at the altar. Yet it will exactly serve the intent of their founding principles to help others and the world, now through AI, even at bigger scale.
All of today’s models are built upon efforts of such true pure hackers who spent their days and years to create training data for AIs. I was a proud SO contributer for many years and there are couple of times while testing models I did felt that models might have used my answers 😇.
Hats off to @codinghorror and @spolsky and so many builders and hackers at SO for moving the world forward, one revolution at a time 🫡.
Ginux is the new Minux
The creator of CentOS and Rocky Linux built a new OS kernel with AI in just 11 days.
It’s called Ginux, and it can already run selected Linux programs without the Linux kernel underneath.
Gregory Kurtzer guided the design while Codex wrote and tested around 139,000 lines of code.
Written mainly in Rust, Ginux has its own memory management, scheduler and networking. It even boots Rocky Linux 10 with systemd in a virtual machine.
It’s still an experimental prototype, with incomplete compatibility and hardware support. The code is open source under Apache 2.0.
Eleven days to get this far. Now comes the harder part of making it reliable.

In Ference we trust.
for anyone starting in local ai, the first thing you do is buy hardware and install ollama or lm studio without thinking about what powers it underneath and what actually runs it
the first instinct should be learning the stack, use them but transition to the layer beneath with llama.cpp and try to understand it, then keep buying gpus, move to vllm and unlock your tp=
do not settle there, even try to tweak the model and use mtp and all to speed it up, and try kernels along the way
once you understand inference from the foundational level you will never have to worry about getting a job ever again
