In just nineteen days, I will be among the artists featured in SURFACE II, an international contemporary group exhibition presented by NxEra Art Gallery in New York City.
The exhibition opens on November 19, with an opening reception scheduled for November 20, and concludes on November 25—just ahead of Thanksgiving.
Bringing together contemporary artists from around the world, SURFACE II explores themes of identity, memory, and transformation through diverse artistic disciplines and visual languages.

My earliest memory of Sir Patrick Stewart was his portrayal of Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Of the many memorable moments throughout the series, one particular quote from the episode Peak Performance has remained with me:
“It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.”
Those words convey a profound truth about failure, responsibility, and the unpredictable nature of life. Failure is not necessarily evidence of incompetence, nor does an unfavorable outcome always indicate poor judgment. Even when an individual makes every correct decision and acts with the utmost diligence, circumstances beyond their control can still lead to defeat.
It is a reminder that doing everything right does not guarantee success, and that there is no shame in falling short despite one's best efforts.
That philosophy has stayed with me throughout the years. Even today, it remains one of the most meaningful quotes I have ever heard, and one I will never forget.
To the legendary Sir Patrick Stewart, thank you for the extraordinary performances, the wisdom, and the lasting impression you have left on generations of viewers.
May your soul rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart. Your legacy will endure.

This individual exemplifies precisely the behavior I addressed in my article concerning 6ARAKIN: blind loyalty taking precedence over evidence and critical judgment.
In Chapter Eight of Sun Tzu's The Art of War, the fifth dangerous fault concerns excessive solicitude for one's men, allowing personal concern to compromise sound judgment.
Although Sun Tzu describes a general's weakness, the principle applies here in reverse. This individual is so preoccupied with defending 6ARAKIN that he resorts to unsubstantiated accusations rather than addressing the evidence presented against him.
When loyalty supersedes reason, objectivity becomes its first casualty.
