Nearly 2 years after over 15 trees - some lone specimens for Delhi - were planted in the capital as part of the G20 summit, me and @appriseParas did a spot check on Tuesday, finding most species were doing well. One - had a different identity altogether.

On the advice of @delhitrees, I picked up Aparajita (also Shankupushupam, Butterfly Pea Flower or, um, Clitoria ternatea) and made 'blue tea' with it. Add nimbu for it to turn a marvelous jamun colour.

Nandi battalu - cups of Nandi ( no idea why it’s called this in Kannada). I have fondest memories of my grandmother making “kappu” (kajal) from the flowers in her garden for all the grandkids to keep our eyes clear and healthy. I have two plants in my garden in her memory
