i gave my muse AI agent a silly little job for the holidays: run my wishlist AND my gift list. i just drop links in a chat — it built me a whole storefront app to hold everything 🧵 (1/4)
also included: an “on sale” filter with only discounts it actually verified, sort low→high, mark-as-bought so nobody double-gifts. fully scrollable and shoppable. and when someone asks what i want? muse created a shareable version. new level of hint dropping unlocked. (3/4)

Insane how much of the world is so f*cked up for no other reason than a psychosexual hatred for women. I would argue that it is the main reason many young men are turning to fascism. Access to women and their bodies is at the end of the day what everything is about.
my mom loves to call me at 11am on a Thursday and be like “are you working today? :)” as if I haven’t had a FT job for like 12 years

our ancient curse was that men go die in wars and women do childrearing. but we've gone and lifted men's curse and not women's, and the resulting fury at the inequality is the thing we call feminism. we won't find equality again until we solve childrearing
When I get out of the shower I find husband on a totally different level of the house without the fucking baby monitor!!!

Oh! Let me apologize and clarify - motherhood 100% THE MOST NOBLE task
I'm referring to literally how our culture, cities etc are designed. the amount of men who look slightly ashamed and say "oh she's just a stay at home mom" when I ask what their wife does. I alway let families in front of me in the line at airports and people give me dirty looks.
And I'm like - r u people kidding? Large portions of society think having children is a selfish decision. They do not understand having kids is the most selfless decision, an investment in all of us. And that's crazy to me.
School systems have basically failed. Almost everyone I know with kids is home schooling or pods. A lot of these people can barely afford to do this.
I strongly believe tech and ai and other things are working to fix this tho I know a bunch of ppl on top of this rn so I have hope but our society currently is one that actively disincentivizes having kids

I will point out that every single aspect of our culture spits on motherhood.
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day.
If you want to understand the birth rate decline, I implore you, go on TikTok tomorrow.
It’s become an annual train wreck I absolutely cannot look away from. Women, en masse, log on in tears to record how badly their day went - it usually involves being ignored by their husbands/kids, not being given presents, or having to do things for their MIL instead of the day being solely about them.
It used to come across as weird, narcissistic, and extremely sensitive to me, I’m not going to lie. BUT when I’m being generous I step back and realize that it points to a larger epidemic.
These women feel entirely unseen, unimportant, and disregarded in their day to day lives so they NEED this day to make up for it. And when it doesn’t they’re in shambles and go to the internet for support.
This and its cultural effect will be studied by future anthropologists.

Self-defense is the issue on which I probably feel most distant from the left. Crockett posits that it was the role of Penny and other strangers in this subway car, being threatened by Neely, to somehow divine and solve the problems of his life that hadn’t been solved by Neely himself, his parents, friends, or anyone close to him for 30 years. Absent that, they’re to just sit there in fear and hope he does nothing. Just like you’re supposed to sit in your car during a pro-Hamas/Hezbollah march and hope you don’t become Reginald Denny. Penny was also unarmed and put himself at risk to restrain someone who was threatening others. He was helped by others on the car and thanked by those he protected. Neely was alive when police arrived. The jury had more facts that Crockett has bothered to avail herself of and was diverse. They returned a not guilty verdict unanimously. And now NY can go back to not helping the Neelys of the world while it also ignores the crimes they commit, leaving the law-abiding subject to the repeated abuses of violent criminals without a state or Good Samaritans to protect them. And they wonder why cities swung right.

i think the kids don’t need screens. i think it’s good to not let them have it. i think pretty much everyone knows this and that’s why people get so defensive over the topic, they know they’re doing a bad thing but want to validate the decision.
