The cancelled BZ ZEXAL dub is really interesting because it’s the only anime dub that I know of where the JP staff were directly overseeing it The voice director for the BZ dub said the JP staff hated the 4kids dubs, so they were probably scared of another situation like that

yeah. I think shadow realm is an interesting invention but a plethora of tonal changes and context shifts throughout all the dubs for the shows that make them unsuitable as adaptations for the source material. Wonder if it'd be different if that bang zoom dub for zexal released

Liking dubbed anime while being a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan sucks Cause whenever I watch another series I get a little jealous Most anime dubs are made with so much love for the source material while YGO’s dubs have been doing actual bullshit for 25+ years with no intention of changing 😭
