On my desk is a twisted hunk of metal, about the size of a Rubik’s cube. I keep it as a paperweight to remind me how important, undervalued and rare are the skills that made this country the workshop of the world.
That misshapen lump was the product of my attempt to weld a small box when I spent a day at the JCB Academy eight years ago. Try as I might, I couldn’t get my flame to go where it was supposed to go, at least not for the requisite amount of time. The children tried politely to hide their amusement as sparks flew and my metal plates sagged like slices of cheese in a microwave.
Since that day, I have never thought of welders as “semi-skilled”. Behind their thick, scarred visors, they are artists, wielding their torches as delicately as Vermeer flicked his brushes on the canvas.

🚨 President Trump just shared something every American needs to understand.
Here it is in plain English.
An analyst looked at 59 Senate and governor races this year and compared them to Trump's 2024 numbers.
What they found is wild.
In almost every state, Republicans got about 85% of Trump's 2024 vote.
The other 15% showed up on the Democrat side.
Here's the strange part.
It didn't matter if the state was deep red like Wyoming or deep blue like Massachusetts.
The same 15% shift showed up almost everywhere.
Different candidates, different campaigns, same number.
That 15% is exactly what flipped Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Ohio, South Carolina and North Carolina.
Any state where Trump won with under about 58.5% fell below 50% once you take that 15% away.
Real elections are messy.
Numbers this neat raise real questions.
The fix is simple: hand count the paper ballots, check the poll books against the votes counted, and release the voter files.
If there's nothing to hide, let's see the ballots. 🇺🇸

Two Muslim cops in New York stopped a nurse for no apparent reason other than that she was walking her dog.
They cornered her and threatened to seize her dog. When confronted, they got angry and couldn’t say what law she had broken.
This is what happens when you give these people power. All I can say is that she was lucky there were passersby, because it was 3 AM and things could’ve ended much worse.

Islamic State media claims its fighters have murdered more Christians, this time in Mozambique.
These ISIS terrorists have been allowed free movement, totally unimpeded for more than 10 days leaving a trail of death and destruction in their wake.
Why are security forces not defending Christians from these savages?
Pray for all the victims and their families.

No violence.
No riots.
No vulgarity.
No hostility towards native Germans.
No littering or trash anywhere.
Iranians are civilised people, unlike the pro-"palestine" thugs who destroy Western cities every week.
We are not the same.

🇵🇱 Claims that the Kraków mass shooter held far-right views are being challenged by the city's own mayor.
Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński claimed the gunman, who killed six people and wounded around 16 yesterday, held radical nationalist views.
But Kraków Mayor Łukasz Gibała rejected that explanation.
"This has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with any political ideologies.
I don't know what the minister is basing this on. In my opinion, we're dealing with a madman here, and the claim that this is connected to polarization is unfounded."
The dispute comes just over a week after Prime Minister Donald Tusk's government faced accusations of attempting to take control of Poland's Constitutional Tribunal.
With Tusk already battling the right-wing opposition, the mayor's remarks call the government out for using the massacre to push its political agenda before the motive is even established.

I’ve just read that as of today a whole
Set of categories of Pornography have been made illegal. If facesitting is your thing you’re in trouble 🤣
However, one of those categories is family based porn, step family porn etc. which to an extent I agree with, it’s beyond weird. However it is in the fantasy world.
But what is unexplainable about the government stance is that fantasising about a step relative can now get you 2-5 yrs in prison for even possessing it. Yet cousin marriage, often resulting in disabled and very disadvantaged children is not just legal but the government won’t even discuss the idea of banning it. Explain how the hell those two things sit side by side. One is so wrong that simply thinking about it gets you banged up, the other VERY similar activity is fully sanctioned by the state. Go figure.

It's extremely easy to get into Britain as an 'asylum seeker', says Laurie Wastell. You can pretend to be gay or a political dissident, and soon we can add to that list that you're a 'climate refugee' fleeing the weather. dailysceptic.org/2026/11/08/…

I have been banging the Reform drum on here for months that Reform needs to give it members ‘cash back in the pocket’ policies to sell Reform to the public.
We all know we are being swamped by legal and illegal migration.
We all know it’s costing us billions.
However the voter needs to know how much more actual cash will appear in their pocket each week.
I am now about to state a fact that I will be shouted down as elitist, but it is a fact.
The vast majority of voters are simple people who do not get involved in politics (the dwindling turnout at elections shows that). They just sit and take it as wave after wave of taxes and costs hit them.
They do not respond to ‘big’ policies like we will stop the boats as well as they would to abolishing the TV licence where every household knows that they immediately have £180 to spend on something else of their choosing.
People live in the now, day to day.
The Tories promised to abolish inheritance tax in 2007 and it inverted the polls and put them into govt.
(FYI they did not abolish it, but it served its purpose.)
They have made the same promise now and inverted the polls with Reform as Reform left the goal wide open by stepping back from abolishing it for estates under £2 million.
(FYI they still won’t abolish it as they are lying again.)
Unless Reform changes direction, it is doomed to lose.
If Reform wants a chat you know where I am.

Under the 1833 Slavery Abolition Act, Britain devoted 40% of its national budget to buying the freedom of enslaved people empire-wide.
The government took on so much debt for this effort that the loan wasn't fully repaid until 2014-MEANING living British taxpayers helped foot the bill for ending slavery.
The UK ENDED black slavery and we've ALREADY paid for it 🇬🇧

Don’t be fooled by the boring diplomatic language in the leaked UK-EU draft statement. Under Point 65, Brussels is attempting a massive regulatory hijack of the UK’s highest-growth sectors—specifically AI, quantum computing, and advanced semiconductors.

Read this thread. If it’s true it means the @UKLabour government is consciously destroying our burgeoning AI and high tech sector out of a slavish desire to be run by the EU and increase the sale of seed potatoes.
