Lastly, with all these updates, we are going to be sunsetting Atlas. All these capabilities were built on what we learned from Atlas users who took a leap of faith on a new browser. You taught us how agents can help make browsing and doing work on the open web better, and we are applying these learnings to these new products. The current targeted date for deprecation is 8/9, and we'll share more information in the upcoming days both in-app and via email. Thank you all for your support and we hope you love these new features!

Cool post from @dejanseo -> How AI Search Grounding Actually Works: Google vs OpenAI vs Anthropic "For Google, the funnel barely narrows: 7 received, 7 cited. This is the defining trait of Google’s grounding — it doesn’t expose pages it didn’t use." "OpenAI’s wide-receive / narrow-cite split is a visibility trap. Being one of the 37 pages OpenAI read is very different from being one of the 2 it cited. Both are worth tracking, but they’re not the same win." "Anthropic gives the richest “considered set” (cited + rejected) but hides the snippet text, so reconstructing what it actually read costs a second pass — and real time and tokens." dejan.ai/blog/grounding/

Someone on Reddit asked 4 LLMs 100 times each: walk or drive to a car wash 100m away? Gemini 3.1 Pro said drive every time. Claude Opus 4.8 said walk every time.

I built my own LLM tracker (like profound) this week. now, do I release it open source? make it a free SAAS where you bring your own API keys? or just use it myself? IT runs off dataforseo and/or any of the LLM APIs. whatever you give it.

Soon, you’ll be able to create and manage multiple AI agents for your many tasks — right in Search ✨ We’re starting with information agents: 🔹These agents intelligently look across everything on the web, including blogs, news sites and social posts, plus real-time data on finance, shopping and sports to surface updates related to your specific question. 🔹Your agent works for you 24/7 helping you stay on top of what matters most to you. 🔹Then, it’ll send you an intelligent, synthesized update — with links to learn more — at the right moment to help you take action. #GoogleIO

🆕 SEO for Lovable built sites -> now Lovable have implemented server side rendering and going to serve pages rendered as complete HTML if requests are coming from bots of these companies Google, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. Over last couple of months there've been a lot of complaining about Lovable being client side rendered JS and it having some negative impact on SEO. But now they have made it server side so that bots don't have to wait for JS to render and then see content rather whole page content is processed server side and given to bots as complete HTML. Interesting research from Google. Research has shown that neural networks don't just memorize facts. They build internal maps of how those facts relate to each other. The view of how transformers store knowledge is associative: co-occurring entities get stored in a weight matrix, like a lookup table. The embeddings themselves are arbitrary. But this view can't explain something these researchers found. This new research demonstrates that transformers learn implicit multi-hop reasoning when graph edges are stored in weights, even on adversarially-designed tasks where associative memory should fail. On path-star graphs with 50,000 nodes and 10-hop paths, models achieve 100% accuracy on unseen paths. This geometric view of memory challenges foundational assumptions in knowledge acquisition, capacity, editing, and unlearning. If models encode global relationships implicitly, it could enable combinational creativity but also impose limits on precise knowledge manipulation. New blog post! There's so much to learn about how Google's ranking systems work from the latest DOJ vs Google trial documentation. ⚫ The webpage itself is more important than links. ⚫ Chrome data is indeed used for ranking. ⚫ Crawl frequency is determined by user popularity. ⚫ Quality rater scores fine-tune the ranking systems. ⚫ Every site is given a spam score. This is part 1. Part 2 on what we learned about Google's AI systems will be out in the next few days. mariehaynes.com/what-googles…
