What is even better than a specific type assertion is doing a runtime assertion and letting it narrow the type for you... tsplay.dev/mL2Lkw. If you're trying to assert a complex shape you can use one of those gazillion runtime checking libraries... tsplay.dev/w174Km

`useReffed` being something I came up with myself even before `useEvent` was in RFC or I came to know about it :P And both are in some sense the same thing...

Sorry to intervene :P but it's totally not a bandaid (assuming you're talking about useEvent), every reactive system needs to allow a way to express an untracked dependency, so I'd say this was the missing piece. Excerpt from devanshj.me/writings/untrack…

You cannot learn from another. There is no teacher. You cannot practise learning. You learn by the very act of doing.

Meditation is to be aware of every thought and of every feeling, never to say it is right or wrong, but just to watch it and move with it. In that watching, you begin to understand the whole movement of thought and feeling. And out of this awareness comes silence. J.Krishnamurti

If you seek the Immutable, go beyond experience. When I say: remember ‘I am’ all the time, I mean: ‘come back to it repeatedly’. No particular thought can be mind’s natural state, only silence. Not the idea of silence, but silence itself.

You talk about knowledge, that knowledge is what you have read and heard from others. Unless you have confidence in your own Self you have to draw upon the authority of others, but I tell you from my real state; as I experience it, as I see it.
