"Any team would be lucky to work with you, Simon."
I keep hearing this.
So, here's you chance! You can hire me by the hour, or by the day.
Design engineering, screencasting, studio setup coaching, video production...
One flat rate, for anything I do.

A demo of the animations[.]dev skill file using Claude Code.
It can review your animations, suggest improvements, and basically answer all your motion-related questions based on my experience gathered over the years.

Artificially delaying writes like form submissions can give your users more confidence that their changes went through.
It gets annoying in high-frequency apps like Linear, but it feels better than an optimistic update during occasional submissions like a contact form.

Here's the idea behind the “A New Start” campaign:
Most of us started our careers on Windows. We learned to code, to draw, to solve problems on Windows 98, XP, Vista, etc. Eventually, a lot of us moved to the Mac as it became more common.
We have fond memories of using Windows. When I think back to 2002, learning Flash 5, setting up an FTP server, hearing the dial-up connection, and getting my first website online, I have nothing but amazing memories.
And during that time, we relied heavily on the Start button. It was great and did the perfect job back then.
But the way we work today has changed, and we know that getting to your apps through the Start menu is no longer the desired path.
Raycast does a much better job of helping you use your computer faster and better.
Hence the title: “A New Start.”
It’s a new start for Windows users, for Raycast, and for the Start button.
The campaign has a nostalgic vibe. It’s a love letter to Windows, in a way.
The photos are of the Raycast team using Windows back in the day 🥹
It’s the most honest way to announce Raycast for Windows, from a team that has been building exclusively for the Mac.
I hope you enjoy it.
I’m really glad we get to work on projects like this with @brunocbreis and @ingapng, and to be part of a team that lets us explore new ways of telling stories: @thomaspaulmann @pitnikola

I read @OpenAI's post about their new models today.
I made a graphic to explain which ones to use as a knowledge worker, not a programmer.

Make it even harder for me to choose speakers for epicweb.dev/conf by submitting multiple talk proposals you think will really interest people! Tell us what you're building and what challenges you've had. I want to hear about all your problems.
