Some really promising statements from newly nominated @NEAarts chair. We’re likely to be hearing a lot more about how arts/artists contribute to individual well-being, economic impact, and healthy communities.

Equivalent of #booktok but for plays? 30 second explainers on what’s happening in the industry today? #lobbywalks (every time you walk into a lobby to see a new show, just film the walk in). 1 question “interviews” with folks you know in the industry?

High end standing stool (overstock.com/Home-Garden/Lo…) paired with cheaper multipurpose desk/workbench (gladiatorgarageworks.com/col…). Been using this combo for the past 5 years. Desk is permanently at stand height, but stool lets you stand on pad or lean/sit as needed

low pay/legacy tech makes recruitment/retention hard. mostly contracted out anyway. Procurement officers aren’t good at judging specialty professional services. Gov RFP process/scoping/pricing isn’t adapted to tech. Lots written about healthcare.gov failures still apply

Miro is great for more complex interactivity (stickies, arrows, shapes, icons, etc). Been using it for the past year. Have also used Google slides for simple interactivity (each student/group could get their own slide).
