As the third anniversary of the 2023 October 7th attacks is almost upon us, this is my own, personal tribute to the victims of that awful, tragic day. May their memories be an eternal blessing. 🙏✡️🇮🇱 AM Yisrael Chai

You have both misstated my post and reinvented history. 1. Jewish attachment to Eretz Israel didn’t begin with “political Zionism.” It began 3,800 years ago. It predates the Kingdoms of Israel and Jacob. It predates the First and Second Temples. It predates Islam’s creation and the invasion of the Arabs into JUDEA in the 7th Century. 2. “Political Zionism” was not unique to Europe. It had support movements among Middle Eastern, North African, and North American Jews.
 3. On November 29, 1947, the UN General Assembly adopted Resolution 181, recommending partition of the British Mandate into an independent Jewish state, an independent Arab state, an an internationally administered Jerusalem. The Jewish Agency accepted the partition plan. The Palestinian Arab leadership and Arab Higher Committee rejected it, as did the surrounding Arab states. 5. The Jews did not exile the Arabs when the modern state of Israel was established. Israel's Declaration of Independence, issued May 14, 1948, explicitly appealed to Arab inhabitants to stay: "We appeal [...] to the Arab inhabitants of the State of Israel to preserve peace and participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship." It also promised equal social and political rights regardless of religion, race or sex. By the early 1950s, Palestinian Arabs who remained in Israel constituted a significant Arab minority within Israel. Today, there are 2.1 Israeli Arab citizens. They have 4 political parties, are leaders in the Knesset, serve (by choice) in the IDF (they cannot be conscripted). There are more Arab doctors in Israel than there are Jews in Arab countries in the MENA. 5. The Holocaust and the plight of displaced European Jews at the time that the modern state of Israel was established were not irrelevant, nor is the fact that the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem recruited Muslims to help Hitler exterminate the Jews. They needed a safe haven, and the world had to a large extent helped create that reality by its complicity and/or silence. 6. It is also not irrelevant that of the 850,000 Jews forced into exile by Arabs from the MENA between 1948 and the early 1970’s, most fled to Israel. In other words…you forced them out, stole their homes, their livelihoods, their property, destroyed their communities, places of worship, told them to go back to Judea, from where, historically, they’d been exiled, and now complain that they are there and demand that they “go back to Europe,” from where 2/3 of European Jewry was exterminated and when most of them were from the Arab countries in the MENA from which you exiled them. 7. History is relevant. It’s not a deflection. You claim that the Nakba resulted from Jews forcing the Palestinians out in 1948. Even if that were an accurate description of what happened, you’d be supporting their return after close to a century, and such a return would displace all the Jews and take away their self determination and only safe haven - and after you kicked them out of their homes in the MENA. You cannot credibly say on the one hand that Palestinians have maintained a tie to the land and should be allowed to return no matter how much time has passed, but that Jews who’ve maintained a nexus to the land for millennia should have to leave it. 8. You act as if the Jews just appeared in Israel in 1948, as if the only people there were Arabs. Had Muslim Arab armies not conquered Judea and the wider region from the Byzantine (Eastern Roman) Empire in the 7th Century, we wouldn’t be having this discussion. 9. There are 57 majority Muslim countries with less than 10,000 Jews. There is 1 Jewish nation with 2.1 million Arabs who enjoy greater rights than in any majority Muslim country. You are either killing us or asking us to commit suicide. We are done dying for your pleasure. Celebrate something else in the streets.

One way to destroy capitalism, said Lenin, was to devalue its currency. Another way is to debase its language. Socialists say “equality.” What they mean is “levelling down”. Socialists say “publicly owned”. What they mean is “state controlled”. Socialists say “government aid”. What they mean is “taxpayers' aid”. Socialists say “social justice”. What they mean is “selective justice”. Whenever we can, let us nail the truth to the door—and let us do it in unambiguous English. Perhaps the pursuit of equality at any price does undermine liberty. Perhaps people do want more choice, do want to own their own homes, and do want a greater say in their children's education.

“L’UE n’a RIEN à voir”, Jean ? Vraiment ? Six peuples, six non, aucun n’a tenu. Ne me remercie pas.

Andy Burnham says, in a new Guardian opinion piece, that he is “open to” the “calls for a formal apology on behalf of the British state” for the transatlantic slave trade which began almost HALF A MILLENNIUM ago. This would be like someone in the year 2526 having to apologise for heinous acts conducted today. It is ridiculous. It goes without saying that the transatlantic slave trade was an awful part of global history. But it is also a part of history for which we have already atoned, multiple times over, as one of the world’s pioneers in abolishing the slave trade and indeed policing, through our West Africa Squadron and others – an endeavour that cost up to 2% of Britain’s GDP every year for decades to come. Now think about all the aid money we have supplied across the world since. Billions upon billions. And lest we forget the lives Britain has put on the line over the centuries since: our own people, who sacrificed everything, to keep the free world free. This is a time of year we remember those sacrifices instead of grovelling to anyone who demands it over something of which no Briton alive played any part. Yet Burnham is still “open” to making humiliating public pronouncements on Britain’s behalf. I say no. I say enough. One of the biggest problems we face today is that we are no longer a forward-looking nation. We only ever seem to lament our past, or condemn those who came before us. I cannot abide it any longer. Britain is exceptional. We are a moral force in the world. We have given so much, and sacrificed for centuries. It is now time to put the Britsh people first, instead of caving to every demand that we get on our knees.

Democrat Hillary Clinton: “If Iran attacks Israel, we would totally obliterate them.” Absolutely normal. No problem. Republican Donald Trump: “If Iran tries it, I’ll wipe them out.” Absolutely normal. No problem. Smotrich and Ben-Gvir: “If they attack us, we will destroy them.” Extreme. Unacceptable. How dare they. The rule isn’t about the words. It’s about who is allowed to say them.

Laken Riley had a Garmin smartwatch on when she was attacked Her heart rate jumped to 170 bpm which told investigators that was when she was being attacked It lasted for 17 minutes then suddenly stopped - that's when the animal finally killed her So the next time you want to tell me about how unfair illegal immigrants are being treated I want you to set a timer for 17 minutes and watch it go by so you can understand how long that young woman fought for her life

Remember that time when all of Hezbollah's pagers exploded, so they switched to walkie-talkies instead? Then the walkie-talkies started exploding too, so Nasrallah resorted to calling an in-person meeting. Then an airstrike yeeted everyone at the meeting? That was hilarious.

I want you to do one thing today. Please SHARE THIS POST. All of us who support Israel are used to the hate we get online. But Jewish people and their families around the world get this hate in their face. They are feeling scared and isolated. Many have messaged me. They need our support more than ever. We have to stand up and be counted — now. Please share this post on your profile and show them they are not alone. ✊✡️❤️

A rare moment of political courage in the British Parliament. British MP Nick Timothy tells Muslims crying “Islamophobia” to shove it: “Muhammad was a false prophet. Britain is not bound by Islam or Sharia.”
What turned the nation that once set the standard for Western civilisation into a people that now hates its own history, sacrifices its own children, and bends the knee to those who want it destroyed? Britain was the moral compass of the free world. Cold, reserved, unsentimental. Never stupid, never suicidal. While America turned the hamburger into a global brand, you drank tea with an accent that announced you as the heirs of Shakespeare, common law, parliamentary government and an empire that had shaped the modern world. You were not ashamed of what made you British. You treated it as a birthright. What changed? How did a people famous for the stiff upper lip become addicted to self-flagellation? How did defending your borders, your culture and your own become a thought crime, while importing those who openly despise everything you represent became a civic virtue? The moment anyone names the pattern, it is not outsiders who come for them. It is their own institutions. You keep open the embassy of the Iranian regime that has plotted terror on British soil and called for the murder of Britons. You sanction the one ally that warned you and helped stop the attack. You send troops abroad while jihadists walk free on your streets. Anyone who points this out is branded the problem by the same establishment that created it. Other nations should study Britain as a warning, not a model. Watch for the symptoms: when your elites treat your own people as the enemy. When patriotism becomes a sin and open borders a sacrament. When the votes of those who reject your civilisation matter more than the safety of those who built it. Britain chose that path. The results are no longer deniable. Protect your own people first. Stop appeasing those who hate you. Enough is enough is enough!

A mother was referred to Prevent and visited by police at home because of her visit to Israel and her interest in“Jewish issues”. In yet another shocking case, Holly Passmore, a mother of two from County Durham, was visited at home last July by two plain-clothes police officers who wanted to know why she had recently travelled to Israel. The officers told Ms Passmore, who cares for her severely autistic nine-year-old son, that it was a “safeguarding issue”. A police intelligence report seen by The Telegraph reveals that the referral said she “over-identified with the conflict between Israel and Palestine” and was “supportive of Israel to the point that she has travelled to Israel”. It also described her as having “MH” — meaning mental health — issues and being “vulnerable to negative influence”. Three days after the visit, Ms Passmore lodged a complaint. Two more officers, including a superintendent, then came to her home. “They said that, clearly, I’m not a terrorist,” she recalled, explaining that they were keen to reassure her that police did not consider her a threat or an extremist. “I thought that was strange at the time. You don’t usually end up with a superintendent on your couch.” Ms Passmore’s concerns deepened when she discovered that her NHS records had been updated to describe her as a “vulnerable adult”, before later being changed to say she was no longer vulnerable. It is now even more clear that Prevent is being weaponised by activists to silence people for their lawful and legitimate views. These vexatious complaints also waste police time and resources. Enough is enough. Read more in @Telegraph 👇

Sally Rooney's books aren't being banned because of her views. Her publisher has refused to sell her books because she will donate the proceeds to Palestine Action, a proscribed terrorist organisation and that would be a crime. That's not a freedom of speech issue, it's a freedom-not-to-be-smashed-in-your-back-with-a-sledgehammer issue.
The banning or restriction of the sale or display of Sally Rooney's books (or anyone else's) on the basis of their political views, represents a defeat for liberal democracy and freedom of expression. We only have to go back to the treatment of Salman Rushdie to understand what it means.
